Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide Empty Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide

Message par Admin Sam 6 Déc - 4:50

Introduction:

This is not intended to serve as a comprehensive guide for the game but is one
of the little 'mini-guides' I create for Harvest Moon games as a quick
reference guide for players. My Comprehensive General Guide can be found at:
http://faqs.ign.com/articles/931/931607p1.html
My Characters Guide deals with every character in Alvarna. This Courtship and
Marriage Guide concentrates on the characters who are eligible for marriage.
Courtship and Marriage are a very important aspect of most Harvest Moon games
and are even more vital in Rune Factory 2, where half of the game is
predicated upon your child's existence. If you fail to marry and have a son
or daughter, you never will be able to experience much of the story.
Rune Factory 2 is a game that spans two generations. The first part of the
game is played as a male character whose default name is Kyle who, like the
character in the original Rune Factory, suffers form amnesia and arrives at
the village without any memory of his name or his former life. A generous
local girl named Mana, like Mist in Kardia, offers to 'lend' your character a
farm. When you accept, your new life begins.
Unlike the original Rune Factory, you will have access to Caves/Dungeons ruled
by all four seasons at the very start of the game. You will not be able to
unlock ANY gates within those areas, however, no matter how many monsters you
defeat or how many times you destroy their generators.
Nonetheless, each of the four Caves/Dungeons has tillable plots where seasonal
crops can be grown. One of your basic goals in the 1st Generation as Kyle is
to grow as many Crops and Flowers as possible as well as augmenting your
income by completing Requests made by other characters.
Requests contain the storyline in the 1st Generation of Rune Factory 2.
Requests by individuals are posted on the Bulletin Board in the centre of
Alvarna. It is through acceptance and completion of these Requests that you
raise love and friendship levels and court eligible girls. Requests Events
often act as Heart Events.
You should accept every Request that appears on the board, even if made by an
Eligible Girl in whom you have no real romantic interest. Completing a
Request, even if it involves a declaration of love, will not obligate you to
marry and many important items are obtained only through the completion of
Request Events. Other characters apart from the Eligible Girls themselves
may be involved ultimately in the requirements for marriage. If you do not
complete the Requests made by THOSE characters, you may find yourself unable
to propose to the girl of your dreams.
The first rule of Courtship, therefore, in Rune Factory 2 is to experience ALL
Request Events!
Although gifts can raise heart levels a little as they do in all Harvest Moon
games, it is the Requests that are the most vital component in courtship and
friendship. The other way to raise Friendship and Love Levels quickly is by
speaking to every character whenever a Festival occurs. Although individuals
may tell you that winning a Festival Contest is the way to a girl's heart, it
actually is merely by speaking to ALL individuals that you will increase Heart
Levels.
The second rule of Courtship, therefore, is to meet and greet EVERY character
on Festival days.
If you follow these two rules, you can have every girl at the maximum of 10
Hearts in terms of Love Points before the end of the first Autumn season
without ever giving a Birthday Gift or any other item to the girls.
Part of the fun in Harvest Moon is remembering the birthdays of every
character and giving them gifts that they particularly like. Birthday gifts,
however, operate a little differently in Rune Factory 2. For each of the
eligible Girls, there is only one specific item that will be recognized as a
proper birthday gift. Many of these are Cooked Dishes or Accessories that you
will be unable to make until the 2nd Generation so if you wish to give a
birthday gift in the 1st Generation, you will be obliged to purchase it from a
local merchant. If you give an item that the Eligible Girl likes but which is
not the designated birthday gift, you will receive no acknowledgement of the
fact that it is the girl's birthday.
It never hurts to give 'Most Favourites' to individuals but in Rune Factory 2,
the most important path to marriage is taken by experiencing all the Request
Events that appear on the Bulletin Board.
In Rune Factory 2, you will not find any universal item that accompanies a
proposal of marriage, such as the Blue Feather in other Harvest Moon games.
Rune Factory 2 resembles its predecessor to the extent that every proposal of
marriage is different and is predicated upon a unique item or situation.
The item that triggers the marriage proposal may be obtained from the Eligible
Girl herself in the course of one of her Requests or it may be given to you by
another character in the course of one of his/her Requests.
For example, it is Yue herself who will give you the 'Yue Swap Ticket' that
triggers a proposal of marriage, but in Mana's case, you must obtain
an 'Engagement Ring' from Douglas and in Dorothy's case, a 'Blessing Pendant'
from Gordon. In Julia's case, it is Yue who will supply you with the 'Memento
Ring' needed to propose to her. Max will give you the 100 Roses Bouquet for
Rosalind in exchange for 9 ripe Tomatoes.
As Requests only appear in a specific order on the Board and have minimum
Heart Level requirements in each case, you must complete all previous Requests
in order to obtain the Event that will be the key to your marriage.
As in other Harvest Moon games, you will find that you have Rivals for the
affection of some of the Eligible Girls. You do have an advantage over the
Rivals, however, as you will have adequate time to increase the heart levels
of all Eligible Girls before any Rival Wedding can occur. Each Rival Couple
marries according to a pre-ordained schedule. The first is scheduled to occur
in the 2nd year and the last of the Rival Weddings will not occur until Winter
of the 4th Year. In fact, even if the Rival is at the Church with the
Eligible Girl and is on the verge of making his vow of marriage to her, you
will have the opportunity to 'steal the bride' from your Rival provided her
Heart level is sufficiently high. This is a new twist to Harvest Moon
courtship and one that promises to be quite exciting, if a player is disposed
to remain single until the scheduled date of the Rival Marriage.
The potential Rival Couples are as follows:
Max and Julia
Barrett and Dorothy
Ray and Rosalind
Jake and Cecilia
The dates that the Rival Marriages will occur according to schedule if you do
not prevent them actively as follows:
14 Summer, 2nd Year: Jake and Cecilia's Wedding
17 Spring, 3rd Year: Ray and Rosalind's Wedding
17 Autumn, 3rd Year: Barrett and Dorothy's Wedding
11 Winter, 4th Year: Max and Julia's Wedding
Although Max is a Rival, he will give you many useful tips where Courtship is
concerned:
Max: If there's a girl in this village that you like, you should actively
make use of the bulletin board. There should be some concern or request from
that girl among the postings there. Check the postings frequently and find a
solution for them on your own. If you do, before you know it, you'll have a
romantic relationship started with the girl that you're interested in.
With his usual sense of humour, he adds: 'Alright, you've got some choice
information. I'll let you borrow that advice, but you have to pay me back 1
million times!'
Max makes suggestions with respects to gifts that are favoured by girls as
well:
Max: Do you usually do some mining? They say there are lots of gems buried
in this area that make girls fall for you. If there's a girl you want to get
to know, finding one of those gems is one method! What do you think? Great
information?
Ceci certainly expresses a love for all gems when she declares: Do you know
what my favourite thing in the world is? It's DIAMONDS. And RUBIES. Oh
yeah, and EMERALDS.
Me: Those … those are all expensive gems.

Ceci: I've liked shiny little stones ever since I was little. Oh yeah, I
can't forget SAPPHIRES. Plus AMETHYST. I like that, too.
Alicia will tell you that one of her favourite gifts is a DIAMOND.
As previously stated, though, completing Requests is the most important
component in this game in terms both of Friendship and Love.
Your character will obtain most of his Tools, many Seeds and some valuable
Accessories in the course of Request Events. Some Requests offer cash
rewards, from small sums to very substantial ones. More importantly, though,
they raise Heart Levels. You may find that a Request Event for one Eligible
Girl will increase Heart Levels for other Eligible Girls as well. One of
Alicia's Request is that you take Mana on a romantic date in order to prove
that her love fortunes are accurate. Doing so will increase both Alicia's and
Mana's Heart Levels. Julia will be involved in one of Yue's Requests. The
social aspect of Rune Factory 2 is complex in the sense that you really need
to advance your Relationship with every character in order to succeed.
Relationships always are an important part of Harvest Moon but in Rune Factory
2, you actually may find yourself at a standstill romantically if you have not
fulfilled ALL Requests posted by the residents of Alvarna.
In many of the romantic Request Events, your character will be given a choice
of Responses. Although one Response may be superior to the others in terms of
pleasing the Eligible Girl, the increase in Heart Level will occur when you
complete the Request and is not affected by the choices you make. In this
respect, it is very different from other Harvest Moon games, where you can
lose a full Heart Level by giving the 'wrong' response in the course of any
Heart Event.
Although the Request that leads ultimately to marriage will appear when the
Eligible Girl reaches 8 or 9 Hearts, you will not be able to propose to her
successfully until she is at the maximum Level of 10 Hearts in terms of her
Love Points.
When you have obtained the special item that will prompt the Proposal, give it
to her at 10 Hearts to obtain the option to propose marriage. If you choose
the other option, the item will be returned to you and you will be able to
propose again later with no loss of heart level for delaying the proposal.
This is true with respect with options given at Romantic Festivals as well.
You will have the option to ask the girl for a date or to speak of a different
matter. Avoiding the offer of a date will not result in any loss of affection
and you will have the ability to ask again. It is not the offer of the date
that increases heart levels in any case, but the fact that you have met and
greeted the girl on the day of the Festival. You therefore can raise every
Eligible Girls' heart levels on each Festival Day, irrespective of your
ultimate choice of partner if it is a Romantic Festival such as the Flower
Festival or Dance Festival.
The text of all Romantic Request Events is included in a section at the end of
this guide. It may not be necessary to know the results of every response in
each Event as you are not punished for the option you choose, but some are
very amusing.

Abandoning a Quest or Breaking a Date

Any Request that has been accepted can be 'abandoned' at any point by
accessing the Bulletin Board again and highlighting the Request you accepted.
You will be given the opportunity to 'abandon' the current Request.
Abandoning a Request has no negative effects. It will remain on the Board and
you can accept it again at any point in time.
As far as Romantic Requests are concerned, they very often lead to an
arrangement by the girl to meet your character for a date either the same day
or the next day at a specific time and place. The location in this situation
is set, but the time does not matter where it is a date for the following
day. You usually can arrive at the specified location at any point after dawn
to find the girl waiting for you.
In one situation where my character accepted an assignation with Dorothy on
the following day, a severe hurricane occurred on the day I was supposed to
meet her for the date. When I went to the Bulletin Board the next morning,
the original Request appeared as though it had not been accepted yet.
Dorothy's Heart Levels had not decreased and I was able to initiate the
Request Event again as though nothing negative had occurred. I assume that
this would be the case even if your character simply forgot the date rather
than being forced to stay home because of the weather. If you do not complete
the Request by keeping the date for any reason, however, you will be forced to
initiate the Request again on the Bulletin Board.
The fact is that, although girls will make dark pronouncements about the
negative effects of failing to keep a date, Rune Factory 2 is very forgiving
where courtship is concerned. When you are given a choice of responses in
the course of a Romantic Request Event and choose a response that does not
please the girl, it nonetheless will not affect her heart level. All that
really matters is completion of the Request.
The final section of this Guide includes the actual text of all Requests by
Eligible Girls that occur in the 1st Generation and therefore can be
considered an integral part of your Courtship of them. Any Requests by these
individuals that occur in the 2nd Generation will be found in my Requests
Guide instead. Other Events included in this Guide are the dialogues that
occur at Romantic Festivals, as well as conversation after marriage.

Special Proposal Items:

There is a unique item that you need in order to propose to each Eligible
Girl. They are:
Engagement Ring: A valuable, important ring given to one's life partner.
The Engagement Ring is Mana's Special Proposal Item and will be given to you
by Douglas when you accept his Challenge Request.
Crystal Ball: The ancient tool of a fortune-teller. Said to reveal the
future when gazed into.
The Crystal Ball is Alicia's Special item and you must fetch it from the
Padova Mountains in her Request Event at 10 Hearts.
Blessing Pendant: A handmade pendant for Dorothy entrusted to you by Gordon.
Protects bearer from harm.
The Blessing Pendant will be given to you by Gordon in a Request he will make
after you have experienced Dorothy's Request at 9 Hearts.
Round Stone: A beautiful Round stone. But still just a stone.
You must find the round Stone for Cecilia in one Request and then take it to
her on the Bridge in Messhina Valley in another Request when she attains 10
Hearts.
100 Rose-Bouquet: Rare and expensive roses called 'Geshule'. This bunch has
special significance for Rosalind.
Max will offer to give you this very expensive bouquet of roses if you give
him 9 Tomatoes.
Memento Ring: A beautiful ring made from Messhlight ore. Made by a skilled
craftsman, an acquaintance of Yue's.
You must obtain a piece of Messhlight Ore for Julia in her Request Event, then
give it with 10,000G to Yue in order to have the Memento Ring made.
Yue Swap Ticket: A ticket that can be swapped for a prize at Yue's store.
Apparently, it is very unique.
Yue herself will give you the Yue Swap Ticket at the end of her Request at 9
hearts.

Special Proposal Items after Marriage

If you experience all possible Requests and collect all 7 Special Proposal
Items, you will use one of them to propose to the girl of your dreams. This
will leave you with 6 unused Special Proposal Items. These items cannot be
shipped, either in the 1st or the 2nd Generation, unlike the special Curio
items connected to marriage proposals in the original Rune Factory game.
You can give the Special Proposal Item to the designated girl AFTER you marry
another girl. In some cases, she simply will accept it happily as a special
gift of friendship. Dorothy and Julia accept their gifts in that spirit.
Rosalind will be thrilled with the bouquet of roses, even if you bring it to
her after marrying another individual, but then will make a wry comment about
polygamy when you automatically attempt a proposal as well! In other cases,
though, the gift will result in a rather sad pronouncement by the girl of a
chance lost. Yue will tell you that the Swap Ticket has passed its 'use-by'
date.
In the 2nd Generation, your Child will not be able to give the Special
Proposal Items to the designated girls under any circumstances. If the items
are thrown on the ground, they no longer will go into the Lost and Found but
will be lost permanently. Your only recourse is to store them yourself or
toss them.
Storage space will be very limited until you can obtain Yue's Bargains on
Wednesday. You then will be able to buy a second Refrigerator and Shelf that
will be placed in the Workshop instead of your farmhouse. If you have not
ordered the Workshop, therefore, you will be unable to purchase the additional
storage items.
Unless you are extremely sentimental and are determined to keep the items
forever, you may wish to give them to the other Girls after your marriage in
the 1st Generation:
Here are the responses of each of the girls to the Special Proposal Items:
If I give the Yue Swap Ticket to Yue: This is past its use-by-date. I wish
you'd given it to me a bit sooner!
If I give Alicia the Crystal Ball:
Me: Alicia, will you marry me?
Alicia: I'm flattered at the proposal. Even if my fortune reading is wrong,
you'd still want to marry me, Freyr?
If I give Mana the Engagement Ring:
Mana: If you have this, then that means… you defeated my father? But you're
already married, Freyr. Too bad.
For Julia, the ring simply elicits: Is that for me? Thanks!
Rosalind (blushing): A- A bouquet of Geschule roses! What a fiery crimson
colour! They're beautiful! This … This is like a dream come true.
Me: Rosalind?
Rosalind: !!!
Me: will you marry me?
Rosalind: Thank you for your kind words, but aren't you already married?
Polygamy is illegal, you know!
Dorothy: A present for me…? Th-Thank you…

Life after Marriage

Your Wife's Career

In the 1st Generation of the game, your Wedding will occur the day after your
Proposal is made, although you will experience it immediately as an Event
after the proposal is accepted. You will regain control on the day after the
Wedding in your Farmhouse, with your new wife beside you.
After marriage, your Wife will stay at home in the 1st Generation,
relinquishing her former schedule and any career she may have had. This will
change when your Child becomes the main character, but until the 2nd
Generation begins, your Wife no longer will work.
This does not mean that you will lose the benefits of her career, however. In
Alicia's case, you will be able to obtain any fortune by speaking to her
during the day at the Farmhouse. In Julia's case, although she will stay at
home, you will be able to enter and use the Bathhouse freely. Simply walk
towards the bath and your character will obtain a prompt explaining that Julia
told him he could feel free to use the Baths once per day. You therefore save
100G per day where the baths are concerned if you marry Julia and a variable
amount by marrying Alicia as you can obtain both a change in the Weather for
100G and any number of 'location readings' that would have cost you 20G each
when single.

Duration of Your Connubial Bliss

The length of time that you will be allowed to enjoy your married life will
depend on your own actions in the 1st Generation. Your wife will become
pregnant automatically, unlike many other Harvest Moon games, and her
pregnancy will be brief. Your child will be born before a full season has
passed.
This alone will not end your 1st Generation Game, but your actions after your
child's birth can. Your child's gender will be determined before his/her
birth by the choice you make after your wife announces that she is pregnant.
You can choose to have a boy or a girl or to leave it to destiny.
The day that your child is scheduled to be born, you actually must leave your
Farmhouse and return in order for the Event to have occurred. There is no
delivery Event per se. When you return, the baby will be in your Wife's arms
and she will announce the fact, requesting that you name the Child.
Once you have named your Child, you and your wife will have a conversation
about the need for a School. It is upon the existence of this School that
the transition between 1st and 2nd Generation hinges.
You can go to Byron immediately to order a School to be built provided you
have sufficient materials and money for the project. It will take 10 days to
complete. Once the School is completed, the 1st Generation game will end as
soon as you go to the door of the new building.
You therefore have two possible methods by which to delay the end of your 1st
Generation game:
1. Do not order the School to be built until you are ready to begin a
new life as your Child;
2. If you have ordered the School project, simply avoid the new building
after it is completed. Until the actual Event is triggered at the School
door, you will not move forward into the next generation.

2nd Generation Courtship:

When you begin life as your Child in the 2nd Generation, he/she will be a
young boy or girl and 9 years will have passed since the Child's birth. All
characters from the 1st Generation will remain in Alvarna, with the exception
of your own Father, but in terms of Romance, it is the younger generation that
will be of interest to you. These characters will include both the children
of each Rival Couple and Cammy and Roy, who now are eligible for Romantic
interactions with your character.
There are five children from the Rival Couples' marriages. Note that even if
you marry a Girl for whom a Rival exists in the 1st Generation, the Rival will
marry Yue instead and still will have the same child. You therefore will not
lose the chance to meet a Rival's child in the 2nd Generation by marrying one
of the Eligible Girls with a Rival.
There are only four Rival Marriages but there are five Children from those
marriages, simply because Ray and Rosalind will have twins. Your Romantic
interests in the 2nd Generation obviously will depend on your own Child's
gender.

Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide Empty Re: Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide

Message par Admin Sam 6 Déc - 4:52

1st GENERATION ELIGIBLE GIRLS

ELIGIBLE GIRLS:

MANA:

Birthday: 9 Summer
Mana is the first character you will meet. Like Mist in the original Rune
Factory, she will rescue you from the oblivion into which your amnesia has
placed you and will 'lend' you an old farm. Douglas, who is the owner of the
Pumpkin General Store, is Mana's father and is extremely protective of his
daughter. In fact, he will interrupt many of your Romantic Events with her to
threaten dire results should you ever presume to try to marry his daughter!
Ultimately, you must have Douglas' aid if you wish to propose marriage, as he
will give you the 'Engagement Ring' needed for the proposal.
Mana will sell you a Watering Can and a Hoe for 100G. Speak to her afterwards
and she will give you a bag of Pink Turnip Seeds. She will give you
the 'Special Concerto' after your Barn is completed.
Special items that she gives you in the course of her Request Events include a
Red Scarf.
In order to be able to propose to Mana, you will need an Engagement Ring. The
Ring can be obtained only if you accept Douglas' Request in the form of a
Challenge. You must complete all of the prior Requests Douglas has made
before the Challenge Request will appear on the Bulletin Board. If you have
completed every Request faithfully as it appears, you will have no trouble.
The Challenge Request should appear as soon as Mana asks for the Engagement
Ring in her Request.
If you attempt to give the Engagement Ring to Mana before she has achieved 10
Hearts, she will not accept it.
Most Favourite Gifts: Pink Turnip, 4-Leaf Clover, Sashimi
Most Detested Gift: Mackerel
Special Proposal Item: Engagement Ring
Special Birthday Gift Item: Baked Sweet Potato/Grilled Yam
Actual Responses:
Mana: Fish are the best when they're served as sashimi.
Mana: I really like PINK TURNIP. What do you like, Freyr?
Mana: I like 4-LEAF CLOVER, okay? Don't forget!
Mana: I really don't like MACKEREL. I really wouldn't want to get that a
present! Just so you know, okay?
If you give her pink turnip: (with music): Thank you! I love these!
For Strawberry: : Why are you giving this to me? (not happy)

Her ambitions:
Mana: It's my dream to become a teacher.
Me: A teacher? I don't recall seeing a school in town.
Mana: That's because there isn't one, which is a bit of a problem, isn't it?
Gift at 6 hearts: Red Scarf

ALICIA:

Birthday: 28 Summer
Alicia is the daughter of the local doctor, Natalie. Despite her mother's
desire that she become a doctor herself, Alicia is determined to follow the
more mystical 'alternative' path of becoming a fortuneteller.
Alicia offers a number of predictions whenever you speak to her in the harbour
area. She will offer a prediction of the weather, of any character's current
location or a 'love reading' to determine which girls have a romantic interest
in you.
With respect to the Weather and Locations, Alicia's predictions invariably are
accurate. Her 'Love Readings' actually are accurate as well, although she
somehow ignores Julia in her predictions. When any Eligible Girl attains 6
Hearts (Love Points), she will appear on Alicia's 'love radar'.
Alicia actually will offer to change the weather for the next day for a
price. Her ability to do this is uncertain, however, and she will admit this
when she accepts your payment for the task.
You can increase Alicia's Heart Levels by asking for predictions.
In fact, Alicia is rather mischievous and so determined to be a successful
fortuneteller that she is willing to MAKE her predictions come true by
affecting the course of the future. In one of her Requests, she actually
will engineer a date for you with another girl in order to prove one of her
love predictions. In her first Request, she will trick you into giving her
money after promising you a fee, but she is too likeable a character to earn
any lasting resentment for her antics. Although she resembles the classical
character of the 'Trickster' in a way, she is a lively, amusing girl who
obviously is attracted to you romantically.
It is in the course of completing one of Alicia's Request Events that you can
obtain the Missing Page 1 of the Fireball Magic Spellbook in the 1st
Generation.
Most Favourite Gifts: Diamond, Strawberry
Most Detested Gift: Spinach
Special Proposal Item: Crystal Ball
Special Birthday Gift Item: Emerald Ring
Alicia: I really like a nice DIAMOND. What do you like, Frey?
Alicia: I really don't like SPINACH. I don't even want to look at it.
For STRAWBERRY: Fabulous! (with music): I'm so happy! I love it! Thank
you! But if you really want to capture my heart, get your fortune read!
Her ambitions:
Alicia: Myself, I want to become a famous fortune-teller. I think my mother
always wanted me to become a doctor, though.
One of her Requests:
Alicia: I foretold that she would lose something very dear to her. Then I
ate the PUMPKIN PUDDING she'd been saving.
Me: (That's not fortune-telling at all.)
Alicia: I told her, 'See, my prediction came true, didn't it?' She was
furious with me.
Me: (Yeah, of course she got mad.)
Alicia; But isn't it childish to get so mad just because I ate one little
snack?
Me: Yes, but you shouldn't have done that in the first place, Alicia.
Alicia: I know that. That's why I've bought another PUMPKIN PUDDING to give
to her. I know, Freyr. Why don't you give it to her for me? It's kind of
hard for me to do myself… Please?
About her attempts to make her fortunes come true:
Mana: I've got one for you. Alicia gave Ceci a reading and told her
to 'beware of steps'. Ceci just laughed, and didn't believe her at all. Then
I saw Alicia creeping up behind her, just as Ceci started down some steps. I
didn't laugh that time… Alicia's fortunes may be bogus, but her weather
forecasts are always right. Strange, huh?

ROSALIND:

Birthday: 27 Autumn
Rosalind is the pampered daughter of Herman, the patriarch of the influential
de Sainte-Coquille family. Many of the areas in Alvarna bear the name of
Sainte-Coquille as they are the result of their donations.
Herman is an inveterate Gourmet and Rosalind is interested both in creating
new dishes and medicines. Many of her Request Events are centred on food or
concoctions that she would like to test.
She is poetic by nature, warm-hearted and fun-loving. She will flirt with
your rival, Ray, as easily as she does with you. In fact, you will find her
on Festival days with Ray standing near the pier at the West End of Alvarna
and if you speak to either of them, you may discover that you have interrupted
a date! The Rival Marriage of Ray and Rosalind is scheduled to occur on 17
Spring, 3rd Year.
If you wish to marry Rosalind, you need to visit Max in his bedroom when she
reaches 10 Hearts.
Most Favourite Gifts: 4-Leaf Clover, Sweetie Potato, Apple
Most Detested Gift:
Special Proposal Item: 100-Roses Bouquet
Special Birthday Gift Item: Hot Milk
Actual Responses:
Rosalind: I got into the habit of having a piece of APPLE after lunch. It's
a very nutritious fruit. Plus it's delicious.
Rosalind in church on Mon. afternoon, tells me she is her father's daughter as
she sometimes can have 'quite an appetite'. Then:
Rosalind: Sometimes when that happens, I think about something mild like a
SWEETIE POTATO to try and distract myself. But it backfires! I just grow
hungrier!
Rosalind: I really like 4-Leaf Clovers. Legend has it that this white clover
brings good luck to whoever has it. Tee-hee-hee, I must sound pretty
superstitious.
Rosalind: When I hear about fishing, all I can think of is eating some fresh-
caught trout!
Characters often will tell you a number of rather nonsensical 'urban
legends'. Rosalind will go through a stage in her relationship with you when
she tells you a legend about various plants that must be watered at different
phases of the moon:
Rosalind: Have you heard the rumour about the flower that resembles a face?
Apparently, if you sprinkle some water that's been exposed to the light of the
full moon on arid land at exactly 4.04.04 PM, it might bloom.

DOROTHY:

Birthday: 2 Winter
Dorothy is the daughter of the local Priest, Gordon. She lives with her
father and her sister Cammy in back of the Church. Cammy is extremely
outgoing but Dorothy is almost painfully shy. When you first meet her, she
will speak only through her doll Fern. As you complete her Requests, however,
you will succeed in making her less fearful of social encounters and she will
discard her intermediary in favour of speaking to you directly.
Your Rival for Dorothy's heart is Barrett. You will find Dorothy with Barrett
at the crossroads on Festival Days. The Rival Wedding of Barrett and Dorothy
is set to occur on 17 Autumn, 3rd Year.
In one of her Request Events, Dorothy will give you a Charm, an Accessory that
increases your Defence points. Roy will give you a Charm in one of his
Request Events as well.
In order to propose to Dorothy, you will need a special 'Blessing Pendant'.
This will be given to you by her father, Gordon, in one of his Request
Events. You need to wait until Dorothy is at 10 Hearts before you give it to
her.
Most Favourite Gifts: Char
Most Detested Gift: Insect Skin
Special Proposal Item: Blessing Pendant

Dorothy: Well, um… Do you know when my birthday is?
Me: Sorry, I don't know.
Dorothy: Oh, of course… Sorry, it's, um… It's on the 2nd of Winter… Um,
Maybe you could, um, if you remember…
Me: Oh, no, but… What's your favourite thing to eat, Dorothy?
Dorothy: Oh, um… I like… I like fish… and, um… I really like… CHAR.
Dorothy: I don't like INSECT SKIN… Cammy always brings me them, though.
She's very strange…
In a Request Event, Dorothy will give you a Charm:
Dorothy: Oh, that makes me so happy…
Oh… um… This… this is just a little something I'd like you to have…
You got: CHARM.
Dorothy: I made it for you, to protect you from harm, Freyr.
Me: Thank you, Dorothy. You made this for me?
I'll cherish it always.
Dorothy: Today was… Thank you for today…
Well, then… See you later, Freyr.

Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide Empty Re: Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide

Message par Admin Sam 6 Déc - 4:52

CECILIA:

Birthday: 12 Summer
Cecilia, like her suitor Jake is half-elf, half-human. She actually is a
character from the original Rune Factory and now an adult, left her home in
Kardia to work as a maid in Alvarna. She speaks often of her friend Tabatha
who works as a maid in Kardia.
Cecilia lives at the local Inn in Alvarna and works for the de Sainte-Coquille
family at their mansion.
Your Rival for her heart is Jake, the innkeeper's half-elf, half-human son.
The Rival Wedding of Ceci and Jake is set to occur on 14 Summer, 2nd Year.
Cecilia herself will give you the Round Stone, an item known to players of the
original Rune Factory. She must be at 10 hearts, however, before you will be
able to propose marriage successfully. As with Alicia, the final Request that
allows a marriage proposal will appear on the Board only when she is at
maximum heart level. You then must take the Round Stone to the designated
location in Messhina Valley in order to propose to her.
Most Favourite Gifts: Diamonds, Rubies, Emeralds, Sapphires, Amethyst, Apples
Most Detested Gift: Lamp Squid
Special Proposal Item: Round Stone
Special Birthday Gift Item: Aquamarine Brooch
Actual Responses:
Ceci: Do you know when my birthday is, Freyr?
Me: No, I don't, actually.
Ceci: I never told you, did I? It's the 12th of Summer. Maybe some one will
remember it…
Ceci: Do you know what my favourite thing in the world is? It's DIAMONDS.
And RUBIES. Oh yeah, and EMERALDS.
Me: Those … those are all expensive gems.
Ceci: I've liked shiny little stones ever since I was little. Oh yeah, I
can't forget SAPPHIRES. Plus AMETHYST. I like that, too.
Cecilia: By the way, I really hate LAMP SQUID. Do you like it, Freyr?
For Apple: Is this for me? Wow.
About Kardia:
I knew a woman named Tabatha back in Kardia, who had a job as a maid.
Laterly, I've come to understand why she enjoyed her work. I get a real
feeling of purpose when I'm working to help other people.

JULIA:

Birthday: 16 Spring
Julia is the owner of the local Bathhouse, the Wisdom Bathhouse. You will
raise her Heart Level by taking baths there regularly.
She is obsessed with fashion and is the girl to whom others will defer in
terms of the subject. In fact, one of Yue's Requests involves an appeal to
Julia for fashion guidance.
Often the reward for completing a Request will be an item that is liked
particularly by the giver. When some one gives you seeds, you can assume that
they like the crop/flower that is produced from them.
Max is your rival for Julia's affections and you will find them standing
together at the harbour pier on Festival Days. The Rival Wedding of Max and
Julia is the last of the four Rival Weddings and is scheduled to occur on 11
Winter, 4th Year.
The Special Item that you need in order to propose to Julia ironically will be
obtained through Yue, another Eligible Girl. In Julia's Request at 8-9
Hearts, you will be asked to find a Messhlight Ore. When you give it to
Julia, however, she will return it to you, telling you she has no place for it
after all. You need to take it to Yue, who will suggest that a special Ring
be made from it. Give the Ore to Yue, then see her three days later to obtain
the Memento Ring for Julia.
Most Favourite Gifts: Toyherb, Carrot
Most Detested Gift: Skull
Special Proposal Item: Memento Ring
Special Birthday Gift Item: Seafood Pizza
Actual Responses:
When I spoke to Julia after: You got TOYHERB SEED
Julia: It's the seed of an herb that I really like. If you plant it, maybe
you can give a little of it to me!
Julia: So I've been collecting TOYHERB. I really like things that smell nice.
Julia: I like CARROT. It's so nutritious and healthy.
If I give Julia a Toyherb: Thanks! That smells great! (musical note) Is
that for me? Thank you, Freyr. (musical note)

Julia: Actually, I'm really afraid of SKULLS. I can't stand them… Don't
ever bring me one.
Dialogue at 7 Hearts:
Julia: Freyr, how about running the bathhouse with me?
Me: Huh? What are you talking about?
Julia: Oh, I was just thinking that if you run the bathhouse with me, I
wouldn't have to do all this cleaning!
Me: So you just want to get out of doing the cleaning…

YUE:

Birthday: 9 Spring
Yue is a wandering peddler with incredible fortitude and courage. She makes
no secret of her willingness to travel through hostile territory. She favours
kimonos and many of her early requests involve items that she needs to create
an exceptional kimono. It is Yue who will give you many useful Accessories in
the 1st Generation as rewards or tokens in her Request Events. Yue has no
family in Alvarna but she is extremely generous and open with her affection,
even though she professes her primary interest in life to be success in
business.
Yue wanders from one location to another throughout the course of the day and
is often to be found at the entrance to one of the Caves/Dungeons on the map.
If not at the entrance to one of the Caves, she can be found at the northeast
corner of the North Square of Alvarna, to the left of the Falling Star Path
that leads to the Crossroads. On Festival Days, she can be found next to the
Pool that allows a multi-player option in the game. The Pond is north of
Cherry Blossom Square.
You will have no Rival for Yue's affections if you court her. To propose to
Yue, give her the 'Yue Swap Ticket' previously given to you in her Date
Request Event, but you must wait until she reaches 10 Hearts.
Actual Responses:
Most Favourite Gifts: Daikon Radish
Most Detested Gift: Squid
Special Proposal Item: Yue Swap Ticket
Special Birthday Gift Item: Cabbage Cakes
Actual Responses:
Yue: My birthday is the 9th of Spring. Try to remember it.
Yue: I couldn't ever turn down a good DAIKON RADISH. I don't care how many
I've eaten.
Yue for Daikon: (with music): Thank you! Is that for me? Thanks! I really
love these!
Yue: I can't stand SQUID. They're just so… tentacly. And gross.
First useful Accessory from Yue:
You got HACHIMAKI
You also got 100 pieces of wood.
HACHIMAKI: The far east equivalent of a bandana. Wrap it around your head
and be filled with fighting spirit.
She will give you a CRITICAL RING in another Request.
CRITICAL RING: A ring that raise critical attacks. Somehow makes the best
places to strike more obvious.

2nd GENERATION CANDIDATES FOR ROMANCE:

Your Romantic interests in the 2nd Generation will depend on your own
character's gender. If you are a boy, they will consist of Cammy, Leann,
Serena and Sera. If you are a girl, they will be Roy, Leonel and Orland.

Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide Empty Re: Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide

Message par Admin Sam 6 Déc - 4:53

2nd GENERATION ELIGIBLE GIRLS:

CAMMY:

Birthday: 15 Summer
Cammy is the daughter of the local priest, Gordon. She and her sister Dorothy
live with their father at the Church. She is a very energetic, generous girl
with a great spirit of adventure. Her best friend is Roy, Natalie's son. Her
Requests are a series of mini-games that are part of her plan to transform you
into a 'Handsome Gentleman' in the 1st Generation and she will give you
various Seeds as Rewards for completing her Requests.
Most Favourite Gifts: Strawberry, Sardine
Most Detested Gifts: Vegetables
Actual Responses:
Her father will tell you that Cammy hates Vegetables:
Gordon now says: Hey, Freyr. I always look forward to getting my teeth on
your latest crop of produce. Cammy hates veggies, though. I just can't get
her to eat them. I really don't know what to do.
In an Event, Cammy will indulge in 'binge-eating' and describes the food that
she consumed:
Natalie: What did you eat?
Cammy: Popcorn, pancakes, and then apple juice with a steamed jellyroll cake.
Natalie: No wonder! Of course your stomach will hurt after pigging out like
that! Why did you east so much?
Cammie: I had a fight with Roy and I got so mad I just ate everything.
Natalie: Binge eating… You're about 10 years too young for that sort of thing.
Cammy: Really?
Natalie: Yes. No more overeating, okay?
Cammy: Okay. Thank you, doctor! My stomach feels better now, so I'm going
back home.
She leaves.
Me: Great job once again, Natalie.
Ntalie: Well, it was an easy diagnosis. The problem usually is something
simple.
Me: Huh. Live and learn.
Cammy: I'll tell you my favourite thing! It's STRAWBERRY! Don't forget.
I gave Cammy one of my smaller Sardines:
Cammy: Is this for me? Thanks! *giggles*
Me: Cammy, I think you'd rather climb trees than look at the flowers!
Cammy *giggles* Can you tell?
Clue for the 2nd Generation:
In the Church Cammy again said: Freyr! A little while ago, at the harbour, I
picked up this really shiny shell. Wanna see?
Me: Wow, really? Make sure to show it to me sometime.
A proposed Gift that is nothing more than a tease:
Cammy: Ugh, I went out of my way to make this bracelet and then I lost it…
And I had been thinking of giving it to you, Freyr.
Roy: Cammy! You still haven't given me back my bug cage!
Note: She will continue to speak of various items she intended to give you
but which she lost… unfortunately.

CAMMY, 2nd GENERATION:

In the 2nd Generation, Cammy will preside at the Bathhouse instead of Julia.
Cammy is a true adventurer at heart and will meet you whenever you first enter
a new Cave/Dungeon, but will be persuaded not to tell the adults about your
adventures, despite any potential dangers from Monsters. If your character is
a boy in the 2nd Generation, Cammy will be a potential candidate for romance.

LEANN:

Birthday: 27 Winter
As the daughter of Max and Julia and granddaughter of Herman, Leann is a
member of the most influential family in Alvarna, the De Sainte-Coquille
Family. As one of the children in the village, she will attend School with
you. If your character is a Boy, she will be a potential candidate for
Romance.
Favourite Item: Pizza
Item she Detests: Green Pepper
Actual Dialogue:
Leann: Have you heard of PIZZA? I really love it! I've heard they have all
sorts of PIZZA in a town in Norad! I'm quite jealous, I must admit.

SERA

Birthday: 29 Autumn
Sera is the twin sister of Serena. Both are daughters of Rosalind and Ray and
live on the 2nd Floor of the Clinic. The twins will give you two Magic
Spellbooks after you discover them in the bookcase in the Clinic. Although
they are identical twins in appearance, their personalities are quite
different. Her sister loves to play outside, while Sera prefers to read books
and indeed, has a keen interest in magical spells.
If your character is a Boy, both Sera and Serena are potential candidates for
Romance.
Favourite Items: Pudding, Tomato Juice, Omelet Rice
Item she Detests: Sardine Sashimi
Actual Dialogue:
Sera: I like to read!
Sera: I just want to read a book!
About her sister:
Serena: Sera reads really difficult books! She's even started to read some
of father's magic books!

SERENA:

Birthday: 29 Autumn
Serena is the daughter of Ray and Rosalind and has an identical twin sister
named Sera. Although the two sisters are identical physically, their
personalities are quite different. Serena is the active one, preferring to
play outside rather than study while her sister Sera would rather read a
book. If your character is a boy, both twins are potential candidates for
Romance.
She and Sera will give you two important magic spellbooks after you find them
in the bookcase at the Clinic.
Favourite Gift Items: Pudding, Tomato Juice, Omelet Rice
Item she Detests: Sardine Sashimi
Actual Dialogue:
Serena: I like to play outside!
Serena: I want to go outside! I wish this school had a playground.

Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide Empty Re: Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide

Message par Admin Sam 6 Déc - 4:54

2nd GENERATION ELIGIBLE BOYS

ROY:

Birthday: 25 Winter
Roy is Tanya's son and is Cammy's best friend. He can be found often with
Cammy either at the Sainte-Coquille Park or at the Church where she lives. He
is a very friendly boy who will give you an extremely useful Accessory early
in the game if you complete one of the first Requests. Give him the Emerald
he requests and he will make a Charm for you.
Roy tends to be careless and breaks items at home regularly. Many of his
Requests are the result of an accident and his need to replace a broken item.
In fact, this is a clever device by which the game gives you hints as to the
locations of various Monsters and the War Trophies that they drop.
Most Favourite Gift: Cheap Cloth, Shoulder Piece, Steamed Bread, Pudding
Most Detested Gift: Pike
Actual Responses:
There's one thing I really don't like. I can't stand PIKE. I just don't
understand how people think it tastes any good at all.
Say, Freyr. When's your birthday?
Me: I don't remember that either.
Roy: Of course. Well, you can remember mine instead if you like! It's the
25th of Winter.
Roy in his bedroom: My birthday is the 25th of Winter. Remember it!
Me: I know, I know. You want a present, don't you?
Roy: Was it that obvious? Well, now you know. I'll look forward to your
gift.
A Clue for the 2nd Generation:
Roy: Say, Freyr, have you found anything out in the fields?
Me: Like… what? I haven't seen anything yet…
Roy: Okay. I actually buried some toys and stuff out there a while back.
Me: Ah ha ha. I guess it would be a surprise to turn up something like that!

ROY, 2nd GENERATION:

In the 2nd Generation, Roy will be a potential candidate for romance if your
character is a Girl.
Actual Dialogue in the 2nd Generation:
Roy: Spring is the time for napping during lessons! Of course, if you get
caught, you get chewed out!

LEONEL

Birthday: 3 Summer
Leonel is the son of Dorothy and Barrett and lives with them in the Mayor's
House. He is a beautiful boy who often is mistaken for a girl, a situation
that irks him greatly. As a child in Alvarna, he will attend the local
School with you. If your character is a Girl, he will be a potential
candidate for Romance.
Leonel evidently is quite interested in the art of cooking as he will tell you
that he loves Mana's classes and considers cooking to be fun.
Favourite Items: Chocolate Cake, Pancakes
Item he Detests: Cheesecake

ORLAND

Birthday: 15 Winter
Orland, like his parents Cecilia and Jake, is half-elf, half-human although
he, like his father before him, considers himself to be strictly of
elvenkind. As one of the children of Alvarna, he will attend the local school
with you. He lives at the Inn with his parents and his grandfather, the
Innkeeper Egan. Egan will assure you that his grandson, despite his
surliness, does wish to be your friend. If your character is a girl, Orland
will be a potential candidate for Romance.
Favourite Items: Proof of Warrior, Fried Mackerel, Taimen Sashimi
Item he Detests: Dried Sardine
Actual dialogue:
When you speak to him initially at School, he will be quite rude: 'Don't get
in my way. I'm trying to study here!'

Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide Empty Re: Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide

Message par Admin Sam 6 Déc - 4:54

Text of All Romantic Request Events:

Mana's Request Events:

1st Meeting:

Although this is not a Request Event, strictly speaking, it is an integral
part of any Courtship of Mana.
Mana enters through the archway.
Mana: Oh, hello!
??? Oh, um, hello…
Mana: Hey, I haven't seen you around here before. Are you just passing
through?
??? Passing through? Um, I think so…
Mana: You think so? You mean you're not sure?
??? (with tear): That's … one way to put it.
Mana: Ha ha ha!
Cherry blossoms fall slowly…
???: Wow… How beautiful…
Mana: Oh, you really think so? Hee-hee. Thank you.
???: Uh, that tree, I mean. It's really pretty…
Mana: Ah, yes it is! It's called a 'cherry tree'. They bloom with pink
blossoms this time of year! That's one of the reasons I love coming here…
???: Yeah, I think I could get used to this place…
Mana: Really? That's great!
Earthquake ensures.
??? W=Watch out! It's an earthquake!
Douglas comes through the archway.
Douglas (with cross hurt): Mana!!! I am not going to let you marry him!!!
Mana: Father?! Marry? What are you talking about?!
Douglas: You promised me that you'd stay my little girl forever!
Mana: (with cross hurt) Yeah, when I was six! Why are you even talking about
this?!
Douglas: Don't try to hide it! I overheard you two talking about love and
feelings and that sorta stuff!
Mana: Father, we were talking about how much we love the flowers!
Douglas: Oh, you were? Whew, that's a relief! Don't scare me like that,
Mana!
Mana: You're the one who scared US!
She turns to me.
Mana: I'm sorry abou that… This is my father. I hope he didn't scare you too
much…
Me (with tear): It- It's okay!
Douglas: Well, Mana, who is this fellow, anyway?
Mana: he says he's just passing through town.
???: It- It's nice to meet you, sir!
Douglas: Just passing through town, eh? Well, you'd better hurry up and GET
out of town before you get any funny ideas about marrying my daughter! As
long as there's breath in my lungs, I won't let anybody marry my little girl!
Me: R-Right… I kinda gathered that…
Mana (again with cross hurt): Father! Will you be quiet?
Douglas: Mana, it's only out of concern that I…
Mana: But you're embarrassing me!
She turns to me again.
Mana: Listen, I 'm really sorry about all this…
???: (with tears) No, don't worry about it…
Mana: I don't even know your name! I'm Mana, and this is my father,
Douglas. And you are?
???: I'm … Well, I don't know how to say this, really, but I'm not sure WHO I
am…
Mana: What?! Really? Why not?
???: I don't know! I can't remember who I am, or where I'm from… Nothing@!
But I felt like something was drawing me to this town…
Mana: Really? Well, I'm glad you ended up here! I guess you don't have any
plans to go anywhere else, do you?
??: Um, not really, no…
Mana: Hey, Father, do you think we could lend him that farmland?
Douglas: Hmm… Well, nobody's using it right now, anyway.
Mana: There's some farmland just inside the town! Would you like to use it?
??? What? But we only just met, and I couldn't possibly impose…
Mana: Oh, you wouldn't be! It's just going to waste right now. Really, I'd
feel better if some one was living there.
??? Well, let me think about…
Douglas (with cross hurt): There ain't nothin' to think about! Mana's
telling you to use it, boy! You'd better listen to what my daughter says!!!
???: Y=Yes, sir!
Mana: (with cross hurt) Father!
Douglas: Sorry…
Mana: Sorry again about my father… but you really should use the farm!
Besides, my father and I run the general store. If you move into town and buy
things, you'll be helping us, too!
???: Really? Well, if you insist… Sure, I'll use the farm!
Mana: Great! Here, let me show you the way… Oh! But first, we really need
something to call you…
Mana: Freya, huh? That's a nice name!
(Default is Kyle)
Frey: Thanks!
Mana: All right, let's go! The farm is just to the east of here!
Frey: Just to the east of here. Got it.
Go east now. The game won't let you explore much.
Mana: This will be your farm, Frey!
Frey: Wow, this place is huge!
Mana; it actually hasn't been used in a while, so it'll need a little work…
Hee=hee…
Frey: I think I can handle it. Don't worry.
Mana: (with music) Sounds good. Here. Take this hoe and watering can. Go
ahead and try them out!
Frey: Uh, you mean like, right now?
Douglas (with cross hurt): Mana just told you to try 'em out! What are you
waiting for? Be a man!
Frey: Y-Yes, sir!
You automatically try the hoe.
Mana: Wow, you look like a natural!
Frey; R-Really?
Mana: Yep! Now try the watering can.
You do so automatically.
Mana: Wow! you already water so well!
Doublas: Yeah! If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were born to do
this! There's a natural farmer somewhere in you, kid!
Frey: Well, I… I don't know about that…
Mana: (with music) We can give you both together for 100G. It's a special
sale price! Take it or leave it!
Douglas: What?! `100 for both?! That's cheap! Too cheap, kiddo!
Your choices:
Buy.
Don't Buy.
I only have 150G right now…
Buy.
Mana: Thank you! Well, good luck, Frey!
Mana: Oh, we also sell seeds at our house, so be sure to stop by sometime!
Douglas: Do us proud, kid! Ya don't work, ya don't eat! Ga ha ha ha!
Me (with tears): (I think I may have been tricked into working here…)
Mana: Okay! Now, you need to give your farm a name! What would you like to
call it?
Asgard Farm, eh? Cool.
Me: Thanks!
Mana: All right, looks like you're all set, then! Well, you should get to
work and start making money!
Frey: Um… y-yeah, I guess you're right…
Mana: See you later, Frey!
Frey: See you later, Mana.
Mana: Remember to come by our shop if you have any questions! Oh, or if you
want to buy something…
Me: O-Okay! Will do!
Mana: Thanks! And good luck!
She stands there waiting for questions.
My choices:
How do you grow crops?
Let's talk.
Never mind.
Now, if you ask her the questions about farming, you will have the opportunity
to obtain another bag of Pink Turnip Seeds. Ask her:
How do you plant seeds?
To plant seeds, you first have to plow your field. Seeds won't grow in a
field that isn't plowed. First, press the L Button and B button at the same
time. Then, select the seeds you want to plant from the list that appears.
Then, go to the field where you want to plant the seeds, and press the B
Buttonl Remember to wter your seeds or else they won't grow! Press the L
Button and B Button at the same time, then switch to the watering can. Then,
press the B Button to water your seeds! When your water runs out, you'll need
to fill it back up.
This is the watering hole. Stand in front of it, and press the B Button to
fill up your can. You can hold down and then release the B button when you
water. That way, you can water a wider area! Neat, huh? You have to water
your crops once a day. If you don't, they won't grow. Since you've bought
the hoe and watering can, I'll give you these PINK TURNIP SEEDS!
Douglas: Feeling generous, eh, Mana? Lucky you, kid! Just make sure you get
those PINK TURNIP SEEDS to grow!
Me: Y-Yes, sir!
You got PINK TURNIP SEEDS!
How do you ship crops?
Let's talk.
Mana: The entire field is yours to use, okay? Have fun, Frey!

Mana's 1st Request:

A Request from: Mana
Please deliver an Emery Flower to Rosalind for me. Come talk to me about it.
Speak to Mana, find the Emery Flower, take it to Rosalind, then return to Mana
to complete this Request. Once you have done this, other Requests will appear
on the Bulletin Board, provided you have introduced yourself previously to all
the characters who make the Requests.

First Romantic Festival, the Flower Festival:

If you agree to view the Cherry Blossoms with Mana:
Mana: Sure, sounds great. I know where to go.
At the Square:
Me: (We're supposed to meet here.)
Mana: Sorry, Freyr. Were you waiting long?
No, I just got here myself.
That's good.
We walk together beneath the arch.
Mana: It's pretty, isn't it?
Yes, it is.
This is the place where we first met.
Yeah, it is.
Mana: Just think, if I hadn't happened to come by at that very time…
Me: If I hadn't wandered to this very town…
Mana: We never would have met.
Yeah.
Mana: (I'm glad I came here that day.)
Me: Did you say something?
Mana: No, it's nothing. Thanks for coming to look at the flowers with me
today. See you around.
Me: Yeah, I had fun.

Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide Empty Re: Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide

Message par Admin Sam 6 Déc - 4:55

Mana's 2nd Request:

I want a Four-Leaf Clover
Mana: I want you to bring me a four leaf clover. I just want you to be the
one to get it for me, Freyr. So… will you?
Me: Yeah, okay. No problem.
Mana: Thank you. You can find 4 LEAF CLOVER growing in Blessia Island –
Centre.
I'll give you 200G when you're done. Hurry back.
When I give her the 4 leaf clover:
Mana: Maybe Alicia's reading was right after all…
Me: Reading?
Mana: Uh, n-nothing, nothing! Ha ha. Thanks, here's 200G in return.
I'll also give you 100 logs, too. I'm sure you can use them for something.

Mana's 3rd Request:

Mana: Help Me Look for Something
The goods I ordered for the store have vanished!
Mana: I lost my Aquamarine. I was really looking forward to selling it in my
shop. I know it would have gotten a great price! I'm pretty sure that I lost
it somewhere in my shop. I'd be so grateful if you found it.
It's at the bottom of the stairs, where there is a square cask. I believe she
will give you 200G.

Mana's 4th Request:

Mana's Request for Salmon
Mana: I've heard you can find SALMON at Messhina Valley –Path to Mountain.
She will give 200G if I catch one.
When I entered the second screen, Mana arrived.

Mana: Hey, Freyr! Hee-hee! I'm here! (with music)
Me: Hey! It's really dangerous here! You should go back to town!
Mana: I wanted to watch you fish, Freyr.
Me: Huh? Well… No! There are still monsters all over the place. It's way
too dangerous!
Mana: Oh! I can't change your mind?
Me: No.
Mana: So it didn't turn out like the fortune after all…
Me: What…? What fortune?
Mana (with tears): Ah, no, forget it. You don't need to worry about that.
Me: Anyway, you can't be here! It's too dangerous! Just head back to town,
okay?
Mana: Okay! I'll be waiting for you to come back!
I caught one and took it to her.
Mana: Oh, you caught a SALMON. Thanks! I've had such a craving for this!
Here's 200G in return.
You got 200G.
Mana: Thanks. It must be nice to be able to fish anywhere. I can only fish
where there aren't monsters. Looks like they're no problem for you though!
Ha ha ha!
Then:
Mana: Fish are the best when they're served as sashimi.

Mana's 5th Request:

Mana's request to talk to me 'in our special place'
You know where I mean.
My choices:
Of course.
Not really.
I chose: Of course.
Me: Yeah. At least, I think I do.
Mana: Really? I'm so happy! I'll be waiting for you there, then.
I was right: she was under the arch where we first met.
Mana: This is the place we first met, Freyr.
Me: Yeah.
Mana: Then my father came running… I'll never forget the panicked look on
your face!
Me: I really thought he was going to kill me!
Mana: Ha ha ha! Yeah, my father can be intimidating.
Me: No argument.
Mana: So, Freyr, your memory hasn't come back yet?
Me: Not yet.
Mana: Is that hard for you?
Me: Well, it's a little tough not knowing who I am, but…
Mana: But what?
Me: I'v emade a lot of pleasant memories here in this town. So… It isn't as
bad as you might think.
Mana: I hope I'm a part of some of those pleasant memories, Freyr.
Me: Of course you are. I wouldn't even have a place to live if it wasn't for
you!
Mana: Freyr… Please don't ever go anywhere! Don't ever leave!
Me: Don't worry. I don't plan on ever leaving. I can't imagine wanting to
live anywhere else. Besieds, what would happen to my field if I left?
Mana: Oh, so it's only your field that's keeping you here in town?
Me: No… I mean… Well, let me explain…
BIG EARTHQUAKE
Me: Wh-What's going on here?!
Here comes bloody Douglas again.
Douglas: (with cross hurt) MANA!!! I'm not going to allow you to marry
him! Don't you dare elope!
Mana: Oh, dad! Not again!
Douglas: Look at you two! He was about to pop the question! I know it!
Mana: N-No, he wasn't! Please stop overreacting, Dad! Hey, who's minding
the shop, anyway?
Douglas: You and I are both here, so nobody, of course!
Mana: That's no good! Think of all the business we might be missing right
now! You've got to get back there!
Douglas: Mana!
Mana: Go!
Douglas: Okjay, okay. I'm going! But remember… no eloping!
Me: Your dad doesn't change, does he?
Mana: Just how long does he plan on treating me like his precious little
girl? I'm old enough to get married if I want to!
Me: Married, huh…?
Mana: Ah, well, I mean.. I don't mean I'm going to rush into anything just
because I'm old enough! I need ot make sure I find the right guy first!
Me: Like who? Got anyone in mind?
Mana: W=What do you mean? Umm… that's private… for now. Anyway, I guess I
should head home. Thanks for coming to talk with me. I'll see you tomorrow.
Me: Bye, Mana. See you later.
Now when I speak to Mana at the shop.
Freyr, what do you think of me?
My choices:
Ah, well… what can I say…
Nothing much in particular.

Ah, Well.. what can I say…
This makes her mad!!!
She tells me to come out with it, to be a man.
But it has to be the right response.
If I say, nothing much, she'll say:
I see.

Mana's 6th Request:

I have Something to Ask You.
It's kind of private, but…
Mana: I want to talk to you. Alone, if possible. Will you come to Alvarna-
Port tomorrow at 6 in the evening?
Me: Tomorrow evening at 6? No problem.
Mana: Make sure you don't forget!
The next day you can go as early as you like, even in the morning.
Mana is at the pier at 7.33 am.
Mana: Oh, you're here already, Freyr? We weren't supposed to meet until 6
p.m.
Me: Yeah, I just kind of found myself heading this way! But you're here too,
Mana.
Mana: Yeah, I couldn't wait either… Uh, I mean, like you, I just found myself
heading this way.
Me: So what did you want to talk about?
Mana: About that, Freyr. I wanted to ask you something.
Me: What?
Mana: Freyr, is there any one you… Like?
Me: Thios is a little sudden, but… okay… There's no one I like. Not yet.
Mana: I see… Okay, I can accept that. I'm sorry for calling you here like
this today, Freyr. But thanks. I'd better be getting home, anyway. See you!
Mana asked what my plans for the future were. She said:
Mana; What are your plans for the future, Freyr?
Me: I haven't decided anything yet. I'm just happy to work the soil for now.
Mana: It's my dream to become a teacher.
Me: A teacher? I don't recall seeing a school in town.
Mana: That's because there isn't one, which is a bit of a problem, isn't it?

Mana's 7th Request:

Mana's next request was to deliver something. It was a present. She tells
me to deliver something 'to the farm just outside of town.' I ask if that is
me, and she says Yes, that it is a present. I ask if I can open it and she
says yes.
You got a RED SCARF.
Mana: Yeah! I knitted it a little bit each day.
Me: But… it's the middle of summer.
Mana: It'll still look good on you even in summer, okay? I've gone to the
trouble of making it for you, so I want to see it around your neck!
Me: Well, thanks. It's a lovely gift.
Mana: Tee-hee. I'm glad you like it.

Mana's 8th Request

Mana asks me to meet her for a moment for her next Request. I find her at
Cherry Blossom Square.
Mana: Hey, Freyr, do you want to come with me to Cherry Blossom Square?
Me: Cherry Blossom Square?
Mana: Yeah, I want to talk with you there. You're not busy, are you?
Me: No, I've got time.
Mana: Great! I'll meet you there! Come and find me! Promise!
I had to leave the screen and return to find her in the middle of the area now.
Mana: Tell me, Freyr. Have you decided what you want to be in the future?
Me: Huh? No, not yet.
Mana: I think… I'd like to be a teacher. A school teacher. Do you think
that would suit me?
Me: Hm… A teacher. Wow, Mana, I'm impressed! That's a pretty noble calling!
Mana: Hey! You make it sound as if that's a surprise!
Me: Ah ha ha! Sorry, I didn't mean it like that. But honestly… I really am
very impressed. A treacher… that's a great idea. I'm sure you'd make a great
teacher, Mana.
She is showing cross hurt here… but now she smiles.
Mana: Tee-hee! I'm happy to hear you say that!
Me: I'm glad.
Mana: So, a quick quiz for you! What is the most important, have-to-have,
absolutely-cannot-do-without- thing for a teacher?
Me: Something you need to become a teacher? others? A love of children?
Mana: Nope! That's not it! You're overthinking it, Freyr.
Freyr: Okay, then, teacher, what's the answer?
Mana: Simple. A school.
Me: A school… Of course! There's no school in Alvarna, is there?
Mana: Not yet. But look at this place, Freyr. Don't you think this would be
the perfect spot for a school?
Me: You're right. There are lovely trees around here, too. It would be a
great place for children to learn.
Mana: wouldn't it just? That's settled, then!
Me: What is?
Mana: What do you think? You're going to build our school, Freyr!
Me: What?! Me?!
Mana: That's right. I'm going to teach in the school that you build, Freyr!
How does that sound?
Me: It sounds… pretty good, actually. Pretty good.
Mana: Doesn't it?
Me: A school… I think I can manage that! But just how much money and
material is this going to take, I wonder…
Mana: Don't worry, Freyr. I'm sure you can do it.
Me: Okay. I'll give it my best shot!
Mana: Great! Thanks for coming and listening to me today, too. I enjoyed
talking aobut the future with you, Freyr!
Me: Me too!
Mana: I'd better get home, anyway. I'll see you tomorrow!

2nd Romantic Festival: The Dance Festival

Mana: So today's the Dance Festival…
My choices:
W-Would you like to dance with me?
N-Never mind.
Mana: Oh, sure. It'd be my pleasure!
Shall we dance, Mana?
I'd love to!
After:
Thanks, Mana. I had fun.
Mana: I had a lot of fun too, Freyr. I'll never forget it.
Me: Me neither.
Mana: Thanks for asking me to dance, Freyr! Well, I'll see you later!

Mana's 9th Request:

Mana is at 8 Hearts when the next Request appears.
From Mana a Request: It's a Date!
Mana: Freyr, let's go on a date! A date!
Me: Huh? Y-Yeah, okay. Where do you want to go?
Mana: I've been wanting to explore the furthest reaches of Blessia Island –
Summer Isle Port for a while now. Let's do that!
Me: That's too dangerous. There are lots of monsters there!
Mana: Which is why I'm going with you, Freyr! Come on, let's go.
Me: Okay, but don't say I didn't warn you. It doesn't exactly sound like a
date, either…
Mana: Don't worry about that! I'll meet you in Blessia Island- Summer Isle
Port.
Mana is waiting at the end of the pier on Blessia Island.
Mana: I've been this far before, but I've never been further than this. I'll
be right behind you. I'm counting on you to handle the monsters, Freyr.
Me: No problem.
I walk to the first screen and stop automatically.
Mana: There are quite a few monsters around here. Proceed with caution,
Freyr.
After killing the monster and destroying the generator, I spoke again to Mana.
Mana: There's quite a few monsters in here, aren't there? I'm getting a
little scared!
At the next screen, she stops me.
Mana: You're moving too fast, Freyr! Give me a chance to keep up!
After I destroy the generators:
Mana: Hey, stay near me, will you?! You can't go running off on your own,
Freyr!
I go right to the next screen. Mana stops me there.
Mana: This place is pretty incredible. What ruins are these?
I speak to her after destroying everything.
Mana: Look at all this…!
Mana stops me on the ship ruins.
Mana Is this a boat?
Me: It certainly looks like it…
Mana: But what's a boat doing here? I wonder which country it came from?
Me: Your guess is as good as mine.
Mana: How long has it been here? I guess there is still a lot we don't know!
Me: You're right.
Mana: I'm definitely going to become a teacher! I'm going to teach children
there are still many unexplained mysteries in the world!
Me: That sounds good.
Mana: Thank you for comig with me today, Freyr. I wouldn't have made it this
far without you!
Mana: Well, I should be heading home before my dad gets too worried. See you!
She leaves.
Me (with tear): Wow, she went off alone! I can't help feeling she would have
been fine, even without me here…
(There are no monsters on that screen, so perhaps I could have gone through
all the screens without fighting or doing anything)

The Three Girls again…

In Mana's Bedroom:
After 6, I found Mana, Alicia and Ceci in Mana's bedroom upstairs.
Really hot today, huh, Freyr?
Me: Yeah.
Alicia: Why do you want to go to Mana's room in this heat?
Ceci: Things might end up even hotter, ha ha.
Mana: C-Ceci! What are you talking about?
If you speak to Ceci first:
Ceci: It's not often we see you at Mana's house.
Alicia: We wouldn't know how often he's here anyway. We never get to see him
when he is!
Mana: Alicia! What's that supposed to mean?!
Alicia: I think you know exactly what it means, don't you?

Mana's 10th Request:

Request from Mana: This is about the most important thing in my life.
Mana: Oh, Freyr, you saw my note on the bulletin board?
Me: Yeah.
Mana: I don't really want to talk about it here, though. Will you come to
Cherry Blossom Square?
No problem.
Okay. I'll be waiting for you there. Make sure to come and find me!
At Cherry Blossom Square.
Me: What do you want to talk about, then?
Mana: Oh, Freyr. I can't lie to myself about my feelings any longer. I have
to be honest, with you and with myself!
Me: Mana…
Mana: Freyr… I love you. I'm in love with you. I've liked you since the day
we first met… here, on this spot. It doesn't matter how you feel about me,
Freyr. My feelings for you will never change.
Me: Mana…
Mana: If you feel the same way about me, Freyr, please give me an ENGAGEMENT
RING.
Me: An ENGAGEMENT RING?
Mana: Receiving one of them along with a proposal from my love is my dearest
dream.
Freyr: So where can I find an ENGAGEMENT RING?
Mana: Ah, well… that's the thing… My dad's got the only one I know of.
Me: Oh boy, your dad? I really am going to have to risk my life to get it,
then.
Mana: Sorry! But my father is one obstacle you won't be able to avoid,
either way.
Me (with tear): Yeah, you're right. I guess it's time to face him, then.
Mana: I believe in you, Freyr. I'll see you again soon.
She leaves.

Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide Empty Re: Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide

Message par Admin Sam 6 Déc - 4:56

Mana's Engagement Ring and Douglas:

On the board now a new Request from Douglas!
I Challenge You!
A Request from: Douglas
As long as I live, you will NEVER marry my daughter!
Douglas meanwhile appears to be oblivious of his hostile message on the board.
Howdy, kiddo! Man, I'm hungry. Hey, did I ever tell ya my birthday's the 2nd
of Spring, kid?
Once I accept the Request from him, though:
Douglas; Read the bulletin board, did you?
Me: Yes.
Douglas: Meet me at Trieste Forest – Wooded Paradise. We'll talk there.
Me: Umm, okay.
It's the last screen open in the Forest. No monsters there when I meet
Douglas, who is standing in the centre of the Clearing.
Douglas: Came to see me, huh?
Me: Yes.
Douglas: Got somethin' ya wanna say to me?
Me: Yes, I want to… I want to marry Mana.
Douglas: You love 'er?
Me: Yes.
Douglas: Now how many times have I told you before? So long as I'm still
walkin' this earth, ain't nobody marryin' my Mana!
Me: O-Okay…
Douglas: Now, if you asked me, knowing that… that can only mean…
(The music changes)
Douglas: (with cross hurt) You sayin' you're here to kill me, kid?!
Me: No, of course not!
Douglas; Course not? A man's gotta protect his woman. You don't beat me,
you can forget about marryin' Mana! Let's go, Freyr! You and me!
Me: I-I'm not going to fight you…
An orc appears now behind me and the music changes again.
Douglas: That's no ordinary orc! That guy's huge!
Me: Get back, Douglas!
Douglas: You ain't got a chance against that thing!
Me: It's okay, I'll handle it!
Douglas: Well, all right, kid. Give it your best shot!
I defeat it, then:
Me: Whew! I managed to defeat it!
The combat music stops when I move. Douglas is behind a tree. I speak to him.
Douglas: Freyr…
Me: Are you okay, Douglas?
Douglas: That's the first time I seen you fight… Not bad, kid. Not bad at
all.
(Now the heart music begins.)
Me: Thanks…
Douglas: You'll make a fine husband for Mana.
Me: Th-Thank you.
Douglas; (steaming) But don't you forget somethin'! You ever do anythin' to
hurt my Mana, and we're gonna have more than words, boy!
Me: Yes, sir!
Douglas: Here, I want you to have this. It's a ring. Always did intend to
give it to the man who was gonna marry Mana.
You got: ENGAGEMENT RING!
Me: Thank you.
Douglas: Promise you'll make Mana happy, Freyr.
Me: I … I promise.
Douglas: Good.

Proposal and Marriage to Mana

She will not accept the Engagement Ring until she reaches 10 Hearts. Then,
you can give her the Engagement Ring and she will say:
Mana: If you have this, then that means… you defeated my father?
Me: Ha ha. No, things didn't quite work out that way. But he did give me
his permission to marry you.
Mana: That's wonderful! I'm so happy, Freyr!
Me: I'll make sure you stay that way.
The Wedding will follow immediately.
Each character will congratulate you after you make your vows in the Church.
Among them:
Dorothy: Congratulations… I wish the both of you a wonderful future together…
Cammy: Congratulations! I know you two will have a happy life together!
Egan: Congratulations. I am sure that only wonderful experiences await you
two.
Ceci: Congratuliations! You look beautiful, Mana. Here's to your future!

ALICIA'S REQUESTS:

1st Request:

Rune Factory 2 Requests Guide

Alicia's Requests:
1st Request:
Alicia will ask you to be a 'test' client to have your fortune told, promising
you 100G if you agree. After telling your fortune, she will announce that the
fee to you for the service will be 200G, thus resulting in an actual LOSS of
income for you. If, however, you accept this Request with zero income, you
will be able to complete it without paying her anything. (Buy some Seeds or
other items before you accept her Request!)
Reward: -100G
2nd Request:
Alicia wants you to deliver a Pumpkin Pudding to Natalie.
Give the Pumpkin Pudding to Natalie.
Natalie: I bet you'll make a great husband one day.
Me: Huh? I haven't even thought about marriage yet.
Natalie: Ha! Marriage always finds the people who expect it the least! Ah
ha ha!
No reward AT ALL for this!

3rd Request:

Alicia will request an Amethyst and tell you that you will find it at the
Padova Mountains – Crossroads. This is a Request for a specific rather than a
generic Item, so do not be confused by the fact that Amethysts cannot be mined
from the Padova Mountains Cave but only at Blessia Island! The Amethyst will
be found at the Crossroads where the Viking Orcs are spawned, on the first
screen, behind the generator in the cave area on the right side. (It is the
cave on the left side that contains the entrance to the rest of the Padova
Mountains area.)
Reward: 1000G
Actual Text:
When I gave her the Amethyst:
Alicia: I was wrong about you. You really have what it takes.
Me: (You were wrong about me? I don't recall doing anything to Alicia to make
her misjudge me, but… whatever…)

4th Request:

Alicia will ask you to help her fulfill one of her fortunes. She told Cecilia
that she would be approached by a 'handsome man'. You therefore need to
assume that role in order to prove her fortune's accuracy. Speak to Cecilia,
who will confess that she knows what part Alicia has played in this little
drama, then return to Alicia for your reward.
Reward: 200G

Alicia wants me to be charming to Ceci.
Alicia told her she would be approached by a 'handsome man'.
Me: Oh, I get it…
Alicia; And there aren't that many young men in Alvarna, you see. I just
know Barrett and Jake would refuse to do it. And Max doesn't have the
backbone. There's always Ray, but really. This isn't something I'd ask my
little brother to do. So that's how I settled upon you for the job, Freyr.
Got it?
Me: Can I ask you one question? This… It's not really fortune-telling anymore
if I do this, is it?
Alicia; You just don't understand fortune-telling at all, do you, Freyr? It's
all in the results! As long as the fortune is right in the end, who cares how
it happened?
Ceci knew it was Alicia but went along with it. Got 200G

5th Request:

Alicia would like you to fulfill another prophecy for her by speaking to
Barrett, hoping to prompt him to declare that he likes Dorothy. When you ask
him about his feelings, however, he will confess nothing. Return to Alicia
and you can claim your reward, even though this little drama does not follow
her planned script.
Reward: 250G and 100 pieces of Lumber
Text of Request:
Fulfill Another Prophecy
Alicia: Freyr, you made it! I've been waiting for you! I have anoter favour
for you. I want you to ask Barrett who he likes. Look, even if I go ask him,
I don't think he'll tell me anything. Just ask him straight. Talk to him man-
to-man, and you'll be fine.
Right…
Okay, now, this is the important part. I need you to get him to say that he
likes Dorothy.
Me: How am I supposed to do that?!
Alicia: Well, if he already likes her, it shouldn't be a problem, but I
honestly don't have a clue what he thinks at all.
Okay, I'll go talk to him, and I'll ask who he likes, but I'm not going to try
to chance hi smind, all right?
Alicia; Fine, I guess. Just do your best.
Barrett is near the clinic.
Barrett: What do you want?
Me: Oh, it's nothing, really, just…
Barrett: if it's nothing, then why are you bothering me?
Me: No, I, um… Don't you think we could have an honest conversation, you
know, man-to-man?
Barrett: Is there something you need to say?
Me: Um, well, I was just wondering if there was, uh, any one that you liked?.
Barrett: What? What do you care who I like?
Freyr: Ah, ha ha ha. Why? Um, no reason. I guess I don't care, really.
Barrett: You're weird.
Me: Ha ha ha.
Barrett; I don't feel like talking about that with you. Not right now, at
least.
Me: R-Right.
Alicia gave me 250G and 100 pieces of wood.
Alicia: According to my feeling, wood is going to be very important to you.

6th Request:

Alicia now would like your assistance in telling her own Love Fortune. As no
one asked to marry her, however, there will be no positive result here at this
point in time. There is no Reward for this Request apart from increasing her
Heart Level and allowing the next Request to occur. Remember always to
complete ALL Requests as even those that have no material reward attached to
them will advance Love/Friendship and lead to the next Request.
Reward: None
Text of Request:
Alicia wants to ask me about something.
She says she told her own fortune in love and asks what sort of man would
propose. Handsome, prince of a foreign country, wealthy or average. It was
no one at all. She is upset:
I told her it was 'just a fortune' and it made her angrier.
Alicia: Just a fortune? 'Just' a fortune?! Are you saying I'm a fraud? My
readings are always right!
Me: Oh, I didn't mean to doubnt your fortune telling skills. You're probably
right. You're probably going to be single fgor life!
Alicia: What?! How could you say that?! You're so mean!
Me: (It looks like I'm just digging myself deeper…)
Alicia; Well, maybe you're right. Maybe my amazing prediction powers don't
work as well when I use them on myself.
Me: I'm glad I could be of help. Ha ha ha…
Alicia: Thanks, Freyr. You're a good listerner. But… That means that if I
get married, I'll prove my own reading wrong. Think of my professional
reputation!
Isn't that quite a predicament? Fortune-telling is a hard life sometimes

7th Request:

A request from Alicia: Don't you think dates are fun?
Alicia's 6th Request is another Fortune Fulfillment for another Eligible
Girl. On this occasion, it is Mana's Fortune that she wishes to prove. Speak
to Mana in Cherry Blossom Square to fulfill Alicia's Request. This will
increase both Mana's and Alicia's Heart Levels, by the way. Mana, like
Cecilia before her, will know that the 'date' originated with Alicia but when
you tell her that you actually wanted to see her, she will be pleased. Return
to Alicia to claim your Reward.
Reward: 200G
Text of Request:
Alicia's request is VERY strange.
Alicia: You got it! This time, it's Mana. Go on a date with Mana for me.
Me: A date? Wh-Why? I can't do that!
Alicia: You don't like her?
Me: It's not that I don't like her, but…
Alicia: Then there's no problem! It seems to me like she's got quite the
thing for you, too.
Me: R-Really?
Alicia: So what are you waiting for? Go on and ask her out! She's in Cherry
Blossom Square.
Me: O-Okay.
Alicia: Good luck!
Mana: Oh, Freyr, what brings you here?
Me: N-Nothing in particular. I was just… you know. What about you?
Mana: Me too… I mean… you know.
Me: Yeah…
Mana: Okay…
Me: ……..
Mana: ……..
Me: L-Look…
Mana: Yes…?
Me: I'm … I'm sorry, okay.
Mana: What are you apologizing for?
Me: It was actually Alicia who asked me to come here.
Mana: I see. So you don't actually want to be here, Freyr?
Me: N-No, that's not what I mean. Alicia may have asked me to come here, but
that doesn't mean I didn't want to anyway.
Mana: Oh, really?
Me: Yeah. I mean, when I heard you were here, I definitely wanted to come
here. This is where we foirst me, after all.
Mana; That's right.
Me: I really like this place now. It means a lot to me.
Mana: I'm glad.
Me; Sorry today was a little weird. But I wouldn't feel right going on a
date with you just because Alicia asked me to.
Mana: Don't worry about it. I forgive you.
Me: Phew. Thanks!
Mana: But in exchange, you have to promise to take me on a proper date!
Me; A date?! Well, okay. I think I can manage that.
Mana: Well, I should get going.
Me: Okay! See you!
Mana: (I think Alicia's prediction may have hit the mark… this time.)
I told Alicia that Mana 'saw through it.' She asked if I wasn't a good enough
actor to 'pull it off'.
Me: I just don't think you can force a love prophecy like this.
Alicia: I see… Well, there's no helping it now. Since I'm so generous, I'll
still pay you, of course.
You got 200G!

8th Request:

Alicia needs a Sapphire. Unlike her Request for the Amethyst, any generic
Sapphire will complete this Request. Take one from your storage Cabinet or
smash a Rock in the Padova Mountains or Messhina Valley to find a Sapphire for
Alicia. Return to Alicia and give her the gem to claim your Reward.
Reward: 300G
Text of Request:
Alicia: I need you to go to Messhina Valley – Path to Mountain and find me a
SAPPHIRE. I need it for my next fortune. I'll give you 300G if you bring it
to me. Can you do that for me?
Me: No problem.
Alicia: Thanks, Freyr. That's why I like you so much! (with music)
Me: Umm… sure.
Alicia: Sometimes I don't think you take me very seriously.
I took a Sapphire from my Cabinet and threw it at her.
Alicia: Oh, this is it! This is just what I need to improve my fortune-
telling! Thanks, Freyr. (with music)
Me: No problem.
Alicia: Well, here… Here's 300G for my thanks!
You got 300G!
Alicia: Freyr, you're really dependable. I predict that we could fall madly
in love…
Me: ha ha ha!
Alicia: hey, I'm not kidding… Do you want me to read your fortune and see if
I'm right?
Me: Uh, no thanks. Not this time.
After:
Alicia: Thanks, Freyr. You've made me happy.

9th Request:

In this Request, she will ask you why she has not been able to marry yet.
Answer that she is 'too beautiful' and she will give you Missing Page 1 from
the Fireball Magic Spellbook.

10th Request:

In this Request, you must defeat an Orc on the Grassy Path screen in Trieste
Forest. Return afterwards to claim your Reward from Alicia.
Reward: 500G
Text of Event:
A Request from Alicia: This one's a little dangerous so I'll give you a
little more than usual if you get the job done.
Alicia: Freyr, I need your strength for this one. It's a pretty big favour.
Me: What is it?
Alicia (with music): I want you to go to Trieste Forest- Grassy Path and
defeat an Orc.
Me: Is this for another one of your fortunes?
Allicia: Why does everyone think my readings never come true on their own?
But yes, it is for another of my fortunes. Will you do it for me?
Me: Sure, I can do that.
Alicia: Thank you, Freyr. That's why I love you so much! (with music)
Me: Yeah, yeah.
Alicia: Hmph, I kind of meant it that time. Oh well, you better get going.
She didn't appear there or anything. I defeated a few and then returned to
her.
Alicia: I knew you could do it, Freyr. Thanks to you, my reading came true.
Me: What kind of fortune was it?
Alicia: Do you really want to know?
Me: Of course.
Alicia: Some one's fortune said that they would find true love with a kind
and strong man…\
Me: So that was all just to test my strength and see if I'm the man inn the
fortune?
Alicia: You got it!
Me: Umm… okay. So… whose fortune was it?
Alicia (sweating profusely): Oh, I couldn't tell you that! I have to keep
the fortunes of my clients confidential. I'm a professional, after all!
Me: Huh? But you've told me about lots of people's fortunes before…
Alicia: Well, this is a special case. Ha ha ha… Anyway, thank you. Here's
your 500G. Go ahead, take it.
Me: Thank you.
You got 500G!
After;
Alicia: Thanks, Freyr. I'm happy that I could find a kind and strong man.

11th Request:

In her Request at 9 Hearts, Alicia will ask you to go on a date with you. A
Request for a Date often appears when you reach 8 or 9 Hearts with an Eligible
Girl and for each, there is a specific location involved. In Alicia's case,
it is the Crossroads in Padova Mountains. She would like to see how brave you
are before the date begins, so you need to clear the area of Monsters. The
Viking Orcs that are spawned here come from two Monster Generators, so you
need to destroy both before the actual 'heart Event' will begin. As soon as
you destroy the second generator and walk south towards the entrance, the
Event will commence, even if a Monster remains on the screen somewhere. If
there is an undefeated Monster somewhere, he will be frozen, however, until
the end of the Event. I made a rather amusing video of this situation.
You'll find it on my site.
Reward: None
Actual Text:
I Have a Small Favour to Ask of You
Request from Alicia: This is a little personal so I'll tell you about it when
I see you, okay?
Alicia: I just read a fortune, and… I want you to go on a date.
Who with?
Alicia: With… me.
Me: What?
Alicia: Go on a date with me! If you don't, my reading will be wrong! What,
does a date with me sound so bad to you?!
Me (with tear): No, it's not that…
Alicia; Okay then. Good. You had me worried that my fortune wouldn't be
true.
Me (with tear): (I don't think this has anything to do with fortunes anymore…)
Alicia: Okay, you're going to take me to Padova Mountains – Crossroad.
Me: Wh-Why there? Don't monsters appear there?
Alicia: I don't have a choice. The fortune said that if we go there, the
date will go well.
Me: Hmm… if you say so, I guess. But it's pretty dangerous around there,
Alicia.
Alicia: Won't you protect me from any monsters, Freyr?
Me: Of course I'll protect you. Just… be careful, okay?
Alicia: I know, I know. Well, let's get going.
If I speak to her again now:
Alicia: Oh, a date with you at Padova Mts. – Crossroad! I think I'm going to
blush.
Walk to the entrance to the Padova Mountains. Alicia will be standing there
but will not follow you when you enter. In fact, she simply will repeat her
earlier statement: 'Oh, a date with you…'
You need to enter by yourself. When you do:
Me: This is a great spot for a date, except it looks like there might be
monsters around here. I've got to get rid of them before Alicia gets here!
Okay! I'll close all the gates to keep any monsters from getting in.
When you have destroyed both generations, your character will declare:
Me: There! It should be safe now.
In fact, it may not be safe at all, if there are monsters who were spawned
before you destroyed the last generator.
After I defeat all monsters and destroy all generators on the screen:
Me: Now to go get Alicia.
Your character automatically will walk towards the entrance to shout:
Me: Alicia! It's okay now!
Alicia will walk towards you. When she speaks, the heart music will begin.
Alicia: Freyr, you really are strong… And so nice.
Me: Thank you.
Alicia: So, Freyr, is there… is there any one you like?
Me: (sweating profusely): What? Um, well, I don't know… Why don't you tell
me my fortune, Alicia?
Alicia: Oh, that's nice of you… but you know my predictions are never
accurate.
Me: What? Your predictions are amazing!
Alicia: Really? Do you really think so?
Me: Well, yeah… You're really good at predicting the weather and knowing
where people will be.
Alicia: My love fortunes are totally inaccurate, though! And those are the
most important fortunes of all!
Me: You're a lot better than you think you are… Come on, take a shot with my
fortune. Tell me what my future holds.
Aliica: Okay… I'll give it a try.
Sim sala bim! Sim sim sim sala bim! It is my prediction that… you're
thinking about a romantic future with me, Freyr…. So… Am I correct?
Me: Uh… yes. Yes, you are.
Alicia: Oh, good! I like you, too, Freyr.
Alicia: Thanks for coming with me today, Freyr. You really are a nice guy.
Alicia: Well, I'm going to head back. See you later!

12th Request:

Request from Alicia: Find me a Crystal Ball
It's the ultimate item for fortune-telling. I want one!
At 10 Hearts, Alicia will make a final Request. Unless you complete this
Request, you will be unable to propose to her. She will have spoken of a need
to 'improve the accuracy' of her fortunes when she reached 9 hearts and as
soon as she attains maximum heart level, she will decide that a Crystal Ball
is what is needed. You will find it in the Frozen Field area of Padova
Mountains, the final screen open to you in the 1st generation in the
northeast section of the Cave.
Take it to her and you will be given the option within the Event itself to
propose marriage to her. If you are not ready to marry, you can avoid the
issue. She will tell you to keep the Crystal Ball afterwards, giving you an
opportunity in the future to propose to her by giving her the Special Proposal
Item.
Reward: Marriage or Crystal Ball, the Special Proposal Item
Actual Text:
Request from Alicia: Find me a Crystal Ball
It's the ultimate item for fortune-telling. I want one!
Alicia: I have an important favour to ask you, Freyr.
Me: What is it?
Alicia: I need you to go to Padova Mts. – Ice Field and find me a CRYSTAL
Ball. I require it to finish one of my greatest divinations. As a reward,
I'll give you a whole 1000G. What do you think?
Me: Sounds good to me.
Alicia: Thanks, Freyr. That's why I like you so much. Marry me!
Me: Yeah, yeah.
Alicia: You're never going to believe I'm serious, are you?
Me: Heh. Nope.
Alicia: fine then. I'll still be happy if you get me a CRYSTAL BALL!
Find it in the northewest corner of the Forzen Field and bring it to Alicia.
Alicia: You found it.
Me: yes, I found it.
Alicia: Freyr, according to my fortune, a CRYSTAL BALL is something that will
be given to me as a marriage proposal.
Me: A … proposal?
Alicia: That's right. The man who brings me a CRYSTAL BALL is the man I'm
destined to marry.
Me: You're not joking?
Alicia: No, I'm serious. My feelings for you are the real thing.
Me: Wow, Alicia…
Alicia: I love you, Freyr. And it's not just some silly fortune that I'm
trying to make come true. I really do love you.
Me: Alicia…
My choices now:
Please marry me.
I'm not quite prepared for this.
If I choose:
Me: Please marry me.
Alicia: You really want to marry me?
Me: Yes. I love you too, Alicia. Your fortune was dead-on this time.
Alicia: Thank you, Freyr. I'm so happy. But what do you mean by 'this
time'? My fortunes are never wrong!
Me: I know, I know. Ha-ha-ha!
If you choose:
I'm not quite prepared for this.
Me: Now I understand your feelings about this, Alicia. But I haven't sorted
out my feelings quite yet.
Alicia: I understand. I'll give this CRYSTAL BALL to you, Freyr. I'll leave
it up to you whether to give it to me again someday, or to throw it away,
Freyr.
Me: Okay.
I told her I wasn't ready yet. I then went back to the message board to
accept Cecilia's Request.

JULIA'S REQUESTS:

LOST AND FOUND request from Julia
Tanya left a sword in the bath.
Julia: She was actually trying to demonstrate a sword fighting technique in
the bath! She terrified all my other customers!
Later: You're a great guy, Freyr. (And so cute too)
Me: Hm? Did you say something just now?
Julia: Huh, oh, no! Don't mind me at all. See you later, Freyr.
When I give Tanya the sword: I'm sorry. The more precious something is to
me, the eeaiser it seems to be to forget where I lfet it!
Me: Still I think a sword would be pretty hard to forget…
Tany: Well, you see… It was a long day, and I'd had a couple of drinks…
When I spoke to Julia after: You got TOYHERB SEED
Julia: It's the seed of an herb that I really like. If you plant it, maybe
you can give a little of it to me!
Next Request:
Try the new soap Julia has made.
I tried Julia's soap and told her it was nice. She gave me FRUIT SANDWICH and
100 wood.

Julia's Request at 3 Hearts:
Douglas is behind the counter when I follow Julia's request to bring her
hearlthy food.
Douglas: Well, I have some CABBAGE CAKES and SALAD.
Me: Oh, well, maybe I'll take the SALAD.
Douglas: What/ You're a man, boy! Whaddaya want a SALAD for?
A man should go with CABBAGE CAKES! They're deep-fried and delicious!
SALAD'll never make ya big 'n strong! Ga ha ha!
Me: Oh no, it isn't for me.
Douglas: I'm tellin' you, you want the CABBAGE CAKES!
Your choice now:
I'll take the CABBAGE CAKES
I'll take the SALAD.
Me: I want the SALAD!
Douglas: Ga ha ha ha! That stuff's for sissies! You'll never grow up to be
big 'n strong like that! Be a man, boy!
Me: (It's not for me, for goodness' sake…)
Douglas: Here, here's your little SALAD, Miss Freyr.
You received a SALAD.
Me: Thank you.
If I had taken the Cabbage cakes:
Douglas: Atta' boy! Eat these dvery day, and you'll be bigh 'n strong in no
time! Ga ha ha!
You received a Cabbage Cakes.
Me: (Boy, Douglas really knows how to push a sale.)
Give it to Julia and she'll say;
Julia: Just … what were you thinking…?
Me: Ah… I'm sorry. Douglas really insisted that I take this.
Julia: Hold it! You seriously think I'm going to eat that?! Do you want me
to put on weight?! Freyr, you moron! I can't bear to look at you right now,
Freyr! Just get out of here!
Me: Sorry! And Julia at 3 and 3 after.
Salad: 2560G
A combination of raw vegetables. Very, very nutritious.
Give it to Julia:
Julia: wow! You got me a salad?! (with music) Great! This is just what I
wanted! Perfect! Just what I wanted! You've got great intuition, Freyr.
Me: I'm glad you're happy. But Douglas thinkis I'm the one who's going to
eat it. He kept telling me that salads are for sissies.
Julia: Oh dear! How terrible for you! You went through all of that for me?
You have my gratitude. Thank you, Freyr. Here's something for you! (musical
note)
You got FORMULA A!
Why not try using that on your crops? It should do them some good!
Me: Thank you.
Julia: Great! I knew I could count on you, Freyr! See you soon!

Julia's request: the town should be more image-conscious

Julia: You know that I'm really into dieting and beauty and stuff, right?
Well, I was thinking it would be nice if maybe people around here put just a
tiny bit more care into how they look. But I'm thinking that maybe people
around here don't know the first thing about beauty. Sooo, I realized that
maybe I should just go ahead and enlighten everyone on the subject.
Me: Uh huh…
Julia: So, it's a little sudden, but I figured that you could help with the
first step of my 'Beauty Promotion Plan'!
Me: Mmmmhmm…
Julia; Okay, Freyr, let's get into the tub!
Me: What?! I don't think I'm ready for that…
Julia: Ahaha! Oh, you thought I meant that we were going to take a bath
together?
No, no, it's not like that at all. Get your mind out of the gutter! After
you get in the bath, I'm going to come and supervise you!
Me: Uh, what exactly do you mean by 'supervise me'?
Julia: Well, if you want to be beautiful, you need to take really long
baths. So you're going to challenge yourself to stay in there for a long,
long time. Sound good?
Me: Honestly, I've never really spent all that much time in the bath…
Julia: Well, I'm sure you'll find some way to manage. This is a good chance
for you to stop looking like such a farmer!
Me: Hmm… So I guess I can't really get out of this, can I…?
Julia: Of course you can't! Okay, get ready for bathtime!
Me: It's awfully hot in the bath. I hope I don't get overheated…
Julia: You'll be fine! You're tough, right?
I now am in the bath.
Julia: Okay, now commencing 'Operation Extended Bathtime'! Good luck, Freyr!
I am submerged now.
Me: Okay… I don't feel so good about this, though…
Julia: It'll be fine! I'll be here with you the whole time. If it gets to
be too much, just say something.
Me: Okay…
Julia: ………….
………………..
This is getting kind of boring. Let''s talk about something.
Me: Hmm, okay.
Me: Well… I picked this really big vegetable earlier…
Julia: That topic is boring me already. Stop!
Me: Boy, that's pretty harsh…
Um, okay, so… You always wear very interesting clothes, Julia.
Julia: (with cross hurt) What does THAT mean?! Are you trying to tell me I
dress weird?!
Me: No, no, it's not that! Your clothing's just very … different from what I
see everyone else wearing. It stands out, that's all.
Julia: Ahh, well, I make it a point to always be on the cutting edge of
fashion.
Me: But why did you start dressing like that in the first place?
Julia; Well, I mean, because it's cute, and I guess I just wanted to look a
little different from everyone else. You could say I wanted to create an
image for myself. Don't you sometimes just want to do things a little bit
differently from everyone else, Freyr? Maybe you don't get it. I guess I
figured that if I looked like everybody else, nobody would pay attention to
me. And then everyone would forget about me. So I wanted to distinguish
myself as much as possible. Dieting, putting so much energy into my image… it
was all so people would notice me. I get lonely more easily than you'd think.
………….. Wait, why am I telling you all of this?!
Ugh, I'm such an idiot! Freyr, forget everything I just said! This
conversation is over!
(Now with cross hurt): And from now on, don't go bringing up such personal
things!
Me: (with tear) Um, actually, Julia, you just kind of started talking about
it, but…
I'm surprised to hear that's how you feel. I think it's cute that you're a
little insecure sometimes.
Julia: You're such an idiot… Just… shut up! What are you even talking about,
anyway?!
Me: Hehehe… ……………………
Um, Julia? Do I still have to stay in this bath?
Julia: Duhhh! Of course you do!
Me: Well, um… I'm not really sure how much longer I can take this.
Julia: You're already at your limit? Wow, you're not as tough as I thought
you were…
Me: No, it's not that, it's just…
Julia: Just tough it out a little longer.
Julia (with music): You haven't even been in there for half as long as I
usually am.
Da da da daaaaa! (music)
Me: Umph… must… be… t-tough…
Can't………. take……….. this…………………………..much………… longer...
*THUD*
Julia (with truly awful face and many tears): Aghhh! Freyr!!! Pull yourself
together!!!
Oh no! I have to get him out of there quick!!!
She rushes in to rescue me from the results of her own cruelty!
Me: ……………………………………..
……………………………………………
Ugh… Huh…? Did I…?
Julia: Ah, you're awake! You scared me! You got dizzy and passed out. I
was so worried about you!
Me: Oh, yikes… I'm sorry. It looks like I caused you a lot of worry.
Julia: But gosh, I just can't believe that you passed out after only that
long.
Me: Hahaha…
But, Julia, maybe it wasn't the best idea to just make me stay in the bath so
long like that…
Julia: Hmmm… Yeah, I guess it wasn't… Sorrrrrry.
Me: Well, I'm okay now, so I guess it's fine, but…
Julia, maybe these laws of beauty that you're trying to promote… well, I'm not
so sure anyone can actually follow them. They seem kind of tough…
Julia: Hmm… Well, if everyone passes out, it'll be trouble for me for sure.
I suppose that's what I'll take from this experiment…
Me: An experiment? So you just tricked me into being your guinea pig?
Julia: Tee-hee!
Me: You shouldn't trick people like that!
Julia: Sorrrrry! (music)
Me: Mmm, but at any rate, do you actually follow such a strict plan every day?
Julia: Of course! Nothing's more important than beauty…
Me: You say it's important… but if you destroy your body in the process,
aren't you kind of missing the whole point?
Julia: I suppose so. But still, if I don't follow my strict plan, my clothes
won't fit anymore.
Me: (Boy, worrying about beauty so much is tough…)
I understand. Just… please don't overdo it.
Julia: Yeah, yeah, I got it.
Me: I hope you do…
Julia: Maybe my 'beauty Promotion Plan' was a little much… I'll have to
think about it some more. But for now, thanks for your help! Also, Freyr…
Thanks for everything today. And I'm sorry.
She walks back to her usual place by the door.
After:
After:
Julia: I guess my laws of beauty are a bit too tough for the average person.
She is at 5,5 and no energy was recoverd in this pretend bath!
If I go back to see her:
Julia: Don't tell anyone else, but lately, I've actually… umm…
Me: What? Is it a secret?
Julia: I 've been taking longer baths lately. For an hour or two.
Me: Ha-ha! That's nothing to hide. Just don't stay in so long that you pass
out.
Julia: It's all for beauty, you know. I just can't skimp on that.

With a Carrot, Julia finally went to 8 hearts and her request appeared on the
board.
Request from Julia: Help me, please! If things keep going the way they have
been, my place is going to.. I don't even want to think about it!
Bathhouse in Crisis! Help Me!
When I reach the screen with the Buffamoo, I see a prompt:
Me: I know II said I'd try to find that gem, but it's not going to be easy!
It is a lovely pink gem. As soon as you take it, Julia will appear.
Julia: Hey, Freyr!
Messhlight Ore: A rare, beautiful ore that can only be found in Messhina
Valley. Yue may know what to use it for.
Back at the Bathhouse:
Julia: That was really scary! Places with monsters are not places where
people should go… So let me see the MESSHLIGHT ORE! (with music)
After:
Julia: Treat it well! Don't throw it away or anything!
What's up, Freyr? Can I help you out?
Me; Say, Yue, will you take a look at this ore for me?
Yue: This… this is… Boy! Where did you get this?! This is super rare!
Me: I found it with Julia. But I don't really have anything I can use it
for… to start with, we were hoping to use it to draw new customers to Julia's
store, but that didn't really work out… But I thought maybe you would have an
idea of how to use it, Yue.
Yue: Oh, it sounds like you and Julia are getting up to all sorts of
adventures, eh, Freyr?

Me: I-It's nothing like that! Julia just asked me for her help!
Yue: There's no need to protest so much! You're at that age, after all!
Me: Ah ha ha! Anyway… Do you have any idea how to use this?
Yue: Let me see… How about making it into a ring? I'm sure Julia would love
to see it transformed into a charming accessory. Girls love to receive gifts
like that! You know, jewelry and stuff! Not to mention that it will be made
from something that will remind her of your exciting, secret excursion
together! It's perfect!
Me: Secret excursion? It was nothing like that! But a ring is a good idea.
I think Julia would really like it!
Yue Isn't it? Now that that's decided, just leave everything to me! I know
a really skilled craftsman. We've had a long working releationship.
Normally, getting him to create a ring would cost quite a lot of money… But
this time I'll use my connections to make it super cheap! A ring like this
would normally cost around 30000G. But how does 10000G sound?
My choices:
Perfect!
If I say: Perfect!
Yue: Great! Come back in three days and it will be ready.
Me: Thank you!
Still a little too much.
If I choose 'Still a little too much,' You will say:
Yue: Oh? I thought that was a pretty good offer. Well, come back any time.
You can totally trust me with things like this!
The MESSHLIGHT ORE was returned to you!
Three days after giving the Messhlight Ore to Yue and paying 10,000G, speak to
Yue to obtain the special 'Memento Ring'.

Julia's Final Request at 9 Hearts

After you obtain the Memento Ring, you still need to bring Julia to 10 Hearts
before you can propose to her. At 9,9, a final Request from Julia will appear
on the Board. At the end of the Event, she still may be at 9, 9 Hearts but
all you need to do afterwards is wait until she reaches 10 Hearts, then give
her the Memento Ring.
Julia: Come Talk to Me
A Request: from Julia
There's something I want to talk to you about. Come see me?
I met her in the square.
Julia: Ah, Freyr, you made it.
Me: So, what do you need, Julia?
Julia: Uhh… Hmm… Boy, it sure is nice out today! Tee—hee-hee!
Me: Umm, and you need me to…? If you don't have anything for me to do, I'm
just going to go home…
Julia: Hold on! Um, okay, Freyr, I was wondering if maybe you'd like to, um…
Julia: Go on a … date with me? I mean, I don't dislike you or anything, so I
figured maybe it'd be fun… But don't get the wrong idea! It's not like THAT
or anything! I was just thinking that I wanted to… get to know a little more
about you. So I was th-thinking that we could go on a date. Sound good?
Maybe?
Me: Hmmm… Sure, let's do it. Let's go on a date, Julia.
Julia: Ahhhh…. Really? Thanks! So you're not rejecting me? Ah, but… I
kind of want to keep it a secret. The date, that is. If everyone sees the
two of us out together, they might start disliking me. I don't want that.
Me: It'll be fine. You're your own person. Nobody's going to change their
view of you or anything.
Julia: Hmm, maybe so. Anyways, shall we pick a time and place? How does
tomorrow morning, 6.00 at Alvarna – Port sound? It's early, so I doubt anyone
else will be around. I think we'll be able to get some privacy.
Me: Got it. Tomorrow, 6.00 a.m. at Alvarna – Port.
Julia: Okay, it's a date! Don't be late!
After:
Julia: If you stand me up or something, I won't talk to you.
She arranges to meet you at 6.00 a.m. at the Port of Alvarna. Obviously, that
is quite impossible. Even if you ride a Wolf, the earliest you can arrive is
about 6.10 a.m. This is deliberate on her part, so that she has a cause for
complaint!
Julia: Ah, Freyr. Aren't you a little late?
I've been waiting for a while! Do you not want to go out with me?
Me: Sure I do. Sorry.
Julia: I was worried… Well, I guess I'll let it slide this time.
Me: Hmm…
Julia: Okay, pull yourself together! I'm starting the date. Let's go down
to the port and have a look.
Me: Okay.
We automatically trudge side by side to the end of the pier.
Julia: Let's go a little further down.
Me: Sounds good.
We walk to the place where Julia usually stands with Max. is she unaware of
the irony?
Julia: The sea is so pretty!
Freyr: it really is, isn't it? I was really stunned the first time I saw it.
Julia: if you spend too much time in the town, you can take it for granted.
It's easy to forget just how beautiful it is. This is the first time I've
looked at the sea with you, Freyr.
Me: Hahaha. It's really nice to watch the sea with you, Jullia.
Julia: Tee-hee-hee! Hmmm… But still, what would people think if they saw
us…? We should probably go home before that happens…
Me: There's no reason to be embarrassed, Julia. You should do whatever you
want to.
Julia: Well, I don't know about that… I think about what would happen if
some one didn't like me and… I get scared.
Me: Julia… You can't always just be worried about what everyone else is
going to think about you. You need to be more true to yourself. This Julia,
the one that I get to talk with, is so charming. I like that she talks about
what's really on her mind.
Julia: Freyr…
Me: Sure, sometimes she can be a little mean, but…
Julia: Hehe, you idiot…
Me: Hahaha… But if that's the real you, then it's great. I don't think
anybody could actually dislike you. Because honestly, I don't dislike you at
all… So I think that you should let other people see this side of you a
little bit too. Have a little more confidence in yourself, Julia. Because
nobody's going to stop liking you just for being who you are.
Julia: Freyr… Thank you… You're right. I spend too much time worrying about
what other people think. It's just that the thought of other people not
liking me is so scary, I can't stand it. But without even realising it, I've
started ignoring my real self. Even though I want people to like me, I
haven't been showing them what I'm really like… I'm lying to all of them. I
realise when I talk to you that I can't keep going on like this. But still…
I'm scared.
Me: It's fine, Julia. Please, believe me when I say this… If you're honest
with everyone about how you feel, they'll probably find you even more likeable
than they do now. That's the kind of Julia I want to see. One who becomes
popular by being herself.
Julia: I wonder if that's possible.
Me: it is. I know you can do it, Julia!
Julia: Okay…
Me: Plus, maybe that way you'd get mad at some other people for a change.
Julia: H-Hey!
Me: Heh, I was just joking.
Julia: Enough already. You're such an idiot, Freyr. Thanks…
Me: Of course.
Julia: So, shall we head home?
Me: We probably should.
Julia: Freyr… I… like you.
Me: Huh?
Julia: Really… thanks for today. Here's something… from me.
She kisses me.
Julia: *mwah*
Me: !!!!!
She starts to walk away, then turns back suddenly to face me again.
Julia: Bye bye! Tee-hee-hee!
Now she does race off.

DOROTHY'S REQUESTS

1st Meeting with Dorothy

Dorothy enters:
Dorothy: Oh, um, hello, Barrett…
Barrett: What?
Dorothy: Um… Well… Is-Is it… nice today?
Barrett: Why don't you go outside and see for yourself?
Dorothy: R-Right…
After:
Dorthy (to me): Ah… Um… G-Goodbye!
Me: Whoa, hey, hold on! Why are you running away? I'm not that scary, arm I?
Dorothy: Um… Well… I… I… haven't really talked to boys before…
Me: It's okay. I understand. My name is Freyr. What's your name?
Dorothy: M-My name…? Well… it's… I'ts… Goodbye!
Me: Goodbye? That's quite a unique name! Seriously, though, just relax, and
say your name…
Dorothy: R-Relax… O-Okay… M-My name's … Dorothy…
Freyr: Nice to meet you, Dorothy.
Dorothy: Y-Yes… Nice… to meet you… too… G-Goodbye!
Me: (Man, she is one shy girl…)

1st Request:

A Request from Dorothy
I , um, dropped my amulet, and…
Dorothy: Ah.. can I help you with anything…?
Ah… I saw your note on the bulletin board.
Oh.. you saw that? Oh, my AMULET… Uh… never mind. It's nothing… Goodbye!@
She races off.
Frey: Hey, wait! Wait a minute! Did you find what you lost…? Oh, she's
gone.
An AMULET? Hm… I'll bet she misses it, so I should find it and return it to
her.
Where to look, though? Hmm…
Rosalind arrives.
Rosalind: Oh, Freyr. What are you doing?
Freyr: Hello! I'm looking for something that Dorothy lost.
Rosalind: Oh, I see. It may be around the docks. Have you looked there
yet? I saw her heading toward there, alone, a minute ago.
Me: I see… Yes, she may have lost it there! Thank you! I'll go and take a
look right away!
Rosalind: Do you know about the spring ephemeral?
It's a n early spring plant that lies dormant in the ground all winter, then
blooms for a short time in spring. I just love that flower, but
unfortunately, I've never seen one in this village.
I found Dorothy in the gardens above the village.
Now to give her AMULET
Dorothy: Ah! D-D-Do you want… something…?
Me: Hey, um, don't be scared. I don't bite. I brought this for you.
Dorothy: Oh… this is… Well, th-thank you.
Freyr: No problem. Be careful not to lose it again!
Dorothy: Ah! H-hold on… Pl-Please, here, take this.
You got 100G!
Me: Thank you! But really, there's no need for this…

1st Romantic Festival: Flower Festival

Dorothy and Barrett stand together near the entrance to Trieste Forest.
Dorothy: G-Good… morning, Freyr. Today… we're going to see all the flowers
blooming… at the Flower Festival. I … I like flowers…
Me: Dorothy…
Want to go look at the flowers with me?
Do you like cherry blossoms too?
Me: Dorothy, would you care to go and look at the flowers with me?
Dorothy: Ah… that's … that's very sudden… What sh-should I say… Ah, well…
yes… I would… Well, I think… the flowers in Cherry Blossom Square are meant
to be … very beautiful. So… let's meet up in Cherry Blossom Square, shall we…?
At the Square:
Me: (We're supposed to meet here.)
Dorothy: Sorry, Freyr. Did I make you wait long?
Me: No, I just got here myself.
Dorothy: O-Oh, really? That's, um, good… Uh, do you want to go, you know,
over to the cherry tree?
Me: Sure.
She follows me through the archway.
Dorothy: It's so pretty…
Me: Yes, it is, isn't it?
Dorothy: I love flowers… The, um, cherry blossoms, too…
Me: They really are breathtaking. Seeing them for the first time had a
tremendous impact on me.
Dorothy: Yes, they, um, seem more… special than other flowers.
Me: I know what you mean.
Dorothy: There's something about just looking at flowers that makes me feel
so… peaceful… Well, I should be getting home…
Me; All right.
Dorothy: Thanks for inviting me out here… Goodbye, Freyr…
Me: See you later.

2nd Request

Dorothy: I dropped my Ruby Brooch and… it's , um, really important to me and,
well…
The Ruby Brooch would have given me 7 defence but you cannot keep a special
Request item. It simply will vanish from your inventory if you attempt to do
so. The Ruby Brooch was in the Trieste Forest, on the second screen.
Dorothy said: Ah… Freyr… Well… Fern says thanks, too…
Me: Huh? Who? You mean… your doll?
Dorothy: Y-Yes… please… take this. You got: SWEETIE POTATO!

3rd Request:

Dorothy wants a WOOLY FURBALL:
Dorothy: I think Fern… has got a fever… So… I need a WOOLY FURBALL from a
Wooly…
Me: Fern? That doll of yours, Dorothy?
Dorothy: Y-Yes… She's got… a fever… So…
Me: Ah! Maybe… the cotton inside the doll is rubbing together, creating
friction and heat…?
Dorothy: …
Me: (with many tears) I'm sorry, you didn't want to hear that sort of
analysis, did you? So I just have to defeat a Wooly and get the WOOLY FURBALL
it drops?
Dorothy: Th-That's right… Thank you. Ah, the Wooly Monsters appear in
Trieste Forest at night, so I hear… I… do hate to ask, but… Please, get me a
Wooly FURBALL… Thank you….
Wool cut from a Wooly is NOT a WOOLY FURBALL. You only get that as a war
trophy. When I sheared the new sheep for wool and gave it to Dorothy, she
simply thanked me, exclaiming that it was a 'present' for her.
When I gave Dorothy the Wooly Furball:
Thank you. Now Fern can get better. I-Isn't that good news, Fern? Th-Thank
Freyr too, okay?
Fern says… thank you too. This is… j-just a little something. You got:
GREENIFIER!
Dorothy: I hope it helps you out in the fields… I've … I've got some wood
here, too… Please, i-if you can use it…
You got 100 pieces of wood!

4th Request:

Dorothy's request is to talk to her.
Dorothy: Fern… wants to… talk to you, Freyr…
Freyr: T-Talk to me…? Um, okay. Uhh… how exactly do I talk to her?
Dorothy: Ah… I'll tell you what she says… So please… talk to her… Fern is
saying… h-hello…
Me: Hello, Fern. Hello to you too, Dorothy.
Dorothy: Ah… Fern wants to talk to you… Or rather, ask a question… Would
you … answer her…?
Me: Yeah, no problem.
Dorothy: … Tell me, Freyr, what do you think is the principal that guides
your actions? That's her question.
Me: So, uhh… what's the principal I live by…? (Is she testing my values…?)
My choices now:
To help every one as much as I can.
To take care of myself first.
Chose the first of course.
Dorothy: (…) I see… That's a good wqay to live! Please stay friend with
Dorothy! That's her reply.
She gave me another reward of TOYHERB SEEDS.

5th Request:

When she made this request, she was 4 Hearts:
Would you please… T-T-Tackle a w-weak with me…?
Me: Tackle a … what…?
Dorothy: Ah…! That came out… all wrong…! Oh… oh…oh…
Me: ???
Dorhty: Okay… okay… Fern… Please… tell him.
Dorothy (…) Dorothy wants to take a walk with you.
Me: Take… a walk?
Dorothy: That's right. She'll be waiting in front of the church tomorrow.
Me: Okay… I understand.
Dorothy: Good. Make sure you show up tomorrow. I'll give you back to
Dorothy now.
Dorothy: (…) That's… what I wanted to say… so, can we take a walk?
Me: Okay. I'll look forward to it, Dorothy.
Dorothy: Okay… thanks…
Dorothy is in front of the Church early in the morning the next day.
Hi, Dorothy!
Dorothy: !!! H-Hello, Freyr… Just wait a moment, please…
Dorothy: (…) Hello, Freyr. It's me, Fern.
Me: Hello, Fern…
Dorothy: I need to talk to you about Dorothy. Please, will you listen?
Me: Yes, of course. (What's going on…? I thought wI was here to spend time
with Dorothy…)
Dorothy: Dorothy trains hard every day to be a nurse, but, as I'm sure you're
aware, she's also very shy.
Me: Well, I think it's great that she's trying.
Dorothy: it's not easy for her. She studies very hard, and she's very
passionate about medicine. But, no matter what she does, she can't seem to
communicate effectively with other people. But that's a vital part of being a
nurse. I believe that the key to solving this, the one thing keeping her form
being a great nurse… Lies with you.
Me: With… me?
Dorothy: That's right. Could you help her to finally open her heart?
Me: if it will help Dorothy, then I'll do whatever I can.
Dorothy: Thank you. I knew you were the right person to ask. So please…
take care of Dorothy.
Dorothy: (…) Ah… so…
Me: Don't over-think this. Just relax and take your time to decide.
Dorothy: Okay. .. Thank you… I'm sorry about today… for taking up your
time. Well… goodbye.
She races away.
Me: So… the only way Dorothy can express her true feelings is through her
doll… From what the doll just told me, though…
… it sounds like Dorothy really wants to get better at talking to people. To
help her, I'll need to get her to start talking without that doll. Well, it
looks like I'll have to take that walk with her sometime in the future.

6th Request:

When this Request appeared, she was at 5 Hearts:
Dorothy: You see… I … want to become a nurse.
Me; I know that. I think wanting to become a nurse is a wonderful goal.
Dorothy: (…)
Me; There's no need to be so embarrassed! (She's turned bright red!)
(Oh no! I need to make her more comfortable.)
Me: So working as a nurse is actually pretty tough, I guess, isn't it?
Dorothy: Yeah… that's right… And so… So… there's something I'd like to ask
you, Freyr… Just hold on a minute… okay…?
Me: Dorothy, stop! Let's talk without Fern, okay?
Dorothy: Huh…? Um, well… I'm not sure…
Me: You want to take the nursing exam, don't you, Dorothy?
Dorothy: Th-That's right… and the written part is no problem, but…
Me; But?
Dorothy: The interview…
Me: Ah, the interview. I can see how that might be a problem.
Dorothy: That's right… So, I was hoping you might help me practice a little…
You know… to get me ready…?
Me: Yeah. No problem, Dorothy.
Dorothy: Th-Thanks…
Me: Okay! I'll be the interviewer. Let's practice. Hello, Dorothy. First…
My choices now:
Let's start with an introduction.
Let's start with your self-analysis.
Introduction, of course.
Dorothy: Okay… my name is Dorothy…
Me: That was easy. Let's keep going!
Dorothy: Okay…
Me: Next…
My choices:
What do you like?
What don't you like?
What do you like?
I asked what she DID like.
Dorothy: I like Cymbidium orchids. They are also called boat orchids, and
their name comes from kumbos, meaning hole or cavity.
Me: Wow. You know a lot about flowers.
Dorothy: Ah… well… I do like flowers…
Me; That was good. Well done. Well then…
My choices now:
Will you lend me that doll for a moment?
What's the name of your doll?
What's the name:
Dorothy: Fern… that's her name.
Me: did you choose her name, Dorothy?
Dorothy: Ah… yes, I did…
Me: That's quite a rare name. And a good one, I think.
Dorothy: Oh… thank you…
Me: so…
What's the best way to maintain beauty?
What's the best way to maintain health?
I chose health.
Dorothy: Wake up early… and go to bed early…
Me: Ah, so that's the secret to good health?
Dorothy: That's right… Don't work too late yourself, Freyr…
Me: I'll be careful not to. Finally…
Do you have lots of friends?
Do you have a very close friend?
Do you have a very close friend?
Dorothy: Yes… Some one called Freyr…
Me: Hah hah hah. Thank you. I'm very happy to hear that.
Dorothy: (…)
Me: (She's clammed up again. Well, she did pretty well without Fern.)
That's all for the interview. Well done!
Dorothy: Thank you. I think… I've found some confidence.
Me: Great! Now you'll be able to ace the interview too.
Dorothy: Well… I hope so.
Me: If you keep on talking to people, you'll keep getting more and more
confident, too!
Dorothy: O-Okay… Well… I know I could count on you, Freyr. Thank you …very
much…
Me: I'm just happy to be able to help you out, Dorothy. (She's finally found
some confidence. Great!)

If you give the wrong questions:
Let's start with self-analysis.
Dorothy: Huh…? Ah… ah…
Me: A little hard for the first question, I guess.
Dorothy: …
Me: (with tears) Let's just carry on. Next…
What don't you like?
Dorothy: Ah.. well…
Me: Al ittle hard for you to answer?
Dorothy: (…)
Me: Let's just carry on. Well then…
Would you lend me that doll for a moment?
Dorothy: (…)
Freyr: I'm sorry… I can't … do that.
Dorothy: (…)
Me: Please forget that. So…
What's the best way to maintain beauty?
Dorothy: I …don't know….
Me: Ah.. I guess that's not really relasted to being a nurse.
Dorothy: (…)
Me: Just forget that one, okay? Finally…
Do you have lots of friends?
Dorothy: (…)
Me: (That was a nasty question.)
Dorothy: (…)
Me: Don't worry about that, then. That's all for the interview. Well done!
Dorothy: My confidence… has… totally gone…
Me: Oh no… sorry, I didn't really ask good questions, did I?
Dorothy: (…)

2nd Romantic Festival, the Dance Festival:

Cammy: Today is the Dance Festival. Have you asked anybody to dance yet,
Freyr? I think you should ask my sister to dance!
Her sister Dorothy is near the crossroads with Barrett.
Barrett: Today's the Dance Festival. I don't want any part of it… Why don't
you go enjoy yourself?
Dorothy: It's the Dance Festival today… You know, Freyr… Um… It's nothing…
My choices:
Would you like to dance with me?
Well, I should be going.
Dorothy: What…?! You want to dance… with me…? Yes… I would love that…
At the square:
Shall we dance, Dorothy?
Dorothy: I-I'll , um, try not to step on your toes…
Me: Just relax and enjoy yourself.
Dorothy: O-Okay…
After:
Me: Thank you, Dorothy. You danced well.
Dorothy: Th=Thanks. Um… I had fun. But… um… sorry you had to put up with
me. I-I know I'm not a good dancer.
Me: That's not true at all. You were wonderful.
Dorothy: Thanks, Freyr. I'm glad you asked me to dance with you. I'd better
get going…

7th Request

A Request from Dorothy: Cammy's been going out a lot lately and I'm not
really sure where. If you could do me a small favour…
Dorothy: Ah… Freyr… You came. You see… I've got a bit of a problem…
Recently, there have been a lot of times… when I've been looking for Cammy
around town… and can't find her. I thnk she's going into the forest… There
are monsters in there. It's too dangerous… But she won't listen to me when I
tell her that. I've tried, but it's no good. So… could you try talking to
her, Freyr…? I'm her older sister, I know… so I don't like to ask…
Me: I see… Cammy can be pretty wild, it's true. I'll try talking to her.
Dorothy: Thank you so much…
After:
Dorothy: Please… try to warn Cammy not to go into the forest anymore… She
won't listen to me.
Cammy is in the Chapel as usual and not in the forest at all.
Cammy: Oh! What is it, Freyr?
Me: Cammy, I hear you've been going into the forest.
Cammy: How did you know that? I go there sometimes, for adventures!
Me: There are monsters there, and it's dangerous. You should stay away from
there. Dorothy's been worried.
Cammy: She has? But I'll be fine… I'm a good runner, so I can run away from
any monsters!
Me: Even if you're a fast runner, it's still dangerous. If a monster snuck
up on you, or you twisted your ankle…
Cammy: Okay, okay. I understand. I'll try not to go to the forest alone
anymore, okay?
Me: Okay, good.
Cammy: When I feel like going, I'll ask you to go with me, okay, Freyr?
Me: Well… I'd like for you to stay wasy from the forest altogether, but…
Cammy: If anything happens, you'll rescue me, won't you, Freyr?
Me: I'll do my best, but it'd be a lot better if you tried to stay out of
danger in the first place!
Cammy: Okay, I understand.
Me: (Good, it looks like I've gotten through to her.) So try not to play
near the forest.
Cammy: Okay. Bye bye!
At the clinic now:
Me: I talked to Cammy like you asked, Dorothy.
Dorothy: Thank you! Did she listen to you, then…?
Me: Well… I think she might have. She paid attention, at least.
Dorothy: Thank you, Freyr… As I thought, there's a lot I can learn from you…
Let me… thank you, Freyr… Here, please… take this.
You got: GLAZED YAM!
Me: Thank you. If you need me for anything else, just let me know.
At 6 Hearts:
Dorothy: Ah, Freyr, g-good… morning. If Fern sees me with another doll, she
gets really jealous…
Me: Fern really loves you, doesn't she, Dorothy.
Dorothy: So, I really can't talk to other dolls…
Me: You have a lot to worry about…
At 7 Hearts:
Dorothy: Good morning, Freyr. I'm …. Happy to see you again today…
Umm, Freyr, so… Do you ever think about um… about marriage?
My choices:
Not yet.
Sometimes I do.
Sometimes I do.
Dorothy: Oh… um… well… Do you… um, do you have some one in mind? Oh… uh,
never mind…

8th Request

Request from Dorothy
I tried making some cookies, so, if you want, come over and try them for me?
I'll be waiting…
When I couldn't find Dorothy in the Clinic, I asked Alicia for a Location and
she told me Dorothy was in Alvarna – West End
She is standing in front of the Church.
Dorothy: Ah… hello, Freyr. N I've… just baked some chocolate cookies… I… had
some trouble with the oven, to start with… And burned about ….8 batches…
They may not taste all that good, but… please… Will you eat them?
You got chocolate cookies!
Me: (I think Dorothy has started to open up a little. She's talking a little
more easily…)
(She's talking for herself now, too. That's progress.)
Me: Thank you. Can I try one?
Dorothy: Ah… yes! Please, do…
Freyr: Okay! Here we go!
*crunch crunch* Wow!
My choices now:
These are really good!
These are awful!

If I had said: These are awful!
Me (with tear): They… are pretty awful…
Dorothy: I'm sorry!
Me: They don't taste much like chocolate… in fact… just what did you put in
them to create a flavor like this…?
Dorothy: Ah… well… it's a secret recipe, but…
Dorothy: Lamp Grass, Scorpion Pinch, Tuna, Carrots, Onions, Pineapple…
Me (with tear): Okay… you're upsetting my stomach. Please, that's enough…
Me (with many tears): Why did you put all of that stuff in it?
Dorothy: But… I just followed the recipe as shown in this book…
Me: I see… that sounds like an odd recipe. Can I take a look?
Dorothy: Okay…
Me; Hmmm… Hey…! It's pretty obvious, I think… that this has been altered by
someone.
Looks like a child's writing.
Dorothy: I… I didn't notice…!
Me: I can only think of one person who could have done this…!
Cammy arrives on the scene, walking very quickly towards us.
Cammy: Oh? What's up, you guys? Wanna play hid0and0go-seek?
Me: Hi, Cammy. You look full of energy again today! So, can I ask you
something? Are you the one who added all the extra ingredients to this recipe?
Cammy: Yeah! That's right. I was bored, so I changed it to something more
fun!
Me: More fun…? I don't know about that…
Cammy: Don't tell me… you made them? And ate them?
Me: That's right.
Cammy: What?! You really made them?! I never thought any one would…!
Dorothy: …
Cammy: You made them, sis?
Dorothy: Yeah.
Cammny: Wow! Tricked you good, didn't I!
Dorothy: Cammy, please…
Cammy: Oh, I'm sorry, sis…! Now I'm very busy! Got lots of playing to do!
See you later!
She leaves.
Me: Cammy was the culprit.
Dorothy; She can do some terrible things, sometimes, just because she's so
naïve…
Me: Well, I guess that's just who she is. She didn't expect anyone to really
make them. She wasn't cruel on purpose.
Dorothy: I know… I'll make proper cookies for you next time, then, Freyr.
Me: Great! I'll look forward to it.
Dorothy: I'm sorry… for all of this today…
Me: Oh, that's not a problem. Don't worry about it.
Dorothy: Well… thank you…
After:
Dorothy: I'll … bring more for you.
Me; I'll be waiting.
If I had told Dorothy:
Me: These are really good, Dorothy.
Dorothy: Th-Thank you… I'm glad… you like them…
Me: You've got real talent here, Dorothy.
Dorothy: Oh, no… I just got lucky with this batch… there's no need to say
that…
Me: I want to eat more! These really are good!
Dorothy: Okay… If you say so, Freyr… I'll try to make some more…
Me: Then I'll look forward to it.
Dorothy: I'll … bring you them every day, then…
Me: I think every day might be overkill. No need to go quite that far!
Dorothy: Okay… Next time I see you, then.
Me: Great! I can't wait!
Dorothy: Thanks…!
Me: I'll just have one more, then.
Cammy rushes over.
Cammy: Hey? What're you doing with Freyr, sis?
Dorothy: Ah… Cammy…!
Cammy: Hey! Chocolate cookies!
I want some too!
Cammy: *crunch crunch*
These are great!
Dorothy: Really? Thank you.
Cammy: You baked them?
Dorothy: Yes.
Cammy: They're fantastic! Give me more!
Dorothy: Hey… Those are for Freyr…
Cammy: *crunch crunch* Delicious! *crunch crunch* Phew! I'm stuffed!
Fantastic!
Dorothy: Oh… there's only one left… for Freyr…
Cammy: Ah! I know! These are so good, I'll take one to Roy!
Cammy: I'll take this, thanks! Now I'm very busy! Got lots more playing to
do! See you later!
She dashes off.
Dorothy: Oh…! Freyr's cookies…!
Me: They're all gone… They were really good. I just would have liked a few
more.
Dorothy: Yes… Thank you. I'll make more for you next time.
Me: Great! I'll look forward to it.
Dorothy: Okay!
After:
Dorothy: I'll… bring more for you.
Me: I'll be waiting.
Dorothy now at 8, 8 with either result.
You don't actually GET any Chocolate Cookies!

9th Request:

A new request from Dorothy:
It's about FERN…
A Request from Dorothy
Fern has been acting kind of funny lately. Come over and help please? For me?
I found her at the Clknic
Dorothy: Hello…. Freyr. I've got a problem… Fern won't talk to me…
This is the first time this has ever happened… Did I… do something wrong…?
Me: (Dorothy makes Fern talk.)
Me: (I guess… if Fern really isn't talking, then Dorothy must be outgrowing
Fern…)
Me: I think, Dorothy, that it's because you've become closer to your other
friends.
Dorothy: Do you… really think so?
Me: Yeah, I do. Fern has been a very close friend of yours, hasn't she
Dorothy?
And she's been the only one you've opened your heart too until now, hasn't she?
That's why sh's always answered you. But now you've found some one other than
Fern who you can open up to. So Fern is just happy that her role in your life
is finished.
She may have stopped talking to you…
But I'm sure sh'll always be by your side, watching over you.
Dorothy: You're right.
Me: Yeah.
Dorothy; Fern… thank you for everything. I'll care about you forever…
Dorothy: (…)
Me: Just do your best so that Fern won't have to worry about you anymore.
Dorothy; I will… And… You've given me a lot of… confidence, Freyr. Thank
you.
Me: No problem, Dorothy.
Me: (Dorothy is really changing.)
Me: (She's become more outgoing than before.)
Me: (Now she can even talk without using Fern… That's real progress.)
Me: (I don't think I need to worry about her anymore.)
After:
Dorothy: Thank you, Freyr… You've given me strength…

10th Request:

A Request from Dorothy
There's, erm, something I want to talk to you about…
Dorothy is at 9,9
Dorothy's Request at 9 hearts:
I… have something… to say
Dorothy: Hello… Freyr.
Me: He, Dorothy.
Dorotyhy: Ah… well… you see…
Me: Yes? What is it?
Dorothy: Would you … please… take me on another… date…?
I want to… go on another date with you, Freyr…!
Me: Okay…
Then: All right, let's do it, Dorothy! I'm not really sure our last date
could really be called a date, anyway!
Dorothy: Well… then… Th-Thank you…!
Me: No need to thank me.
Dorothy: Okay… sorry…
Me: so, what do you want to do? I'm free pretty much any time.
Dorothy: I – I don't think my heart can take much more of this… I mean…
well… my heart has been beating so fast… I think I might collapse…
Me: How about tomorrow, then? Where do you want to meet up?
Dorothy: Tomorrow, Alvarna- Port will be good…
Me: Okay. Then let's meet there.
Dorothy: Okay! Um, promise you'll come, okay?
After:
Dorothy: Tomorrow, come to Alvarna- Port, okay?
Me: Okay. I will.
Dorothy: I can't wait…
Dorothy is at the foot of the stairs near where Alicia usually stands the next
morning as early as 6.15.
Me: Hey, Dorothy!
Dorothy: Oh, Freyr!
You really came… I'm so pleased…
You got here quite early.
Yes… I woke early, and I've just been waiting.
Me: Ha-ha-ha! You didn't have to come so early.
Dorothy: Oh, I couldn't help it…
I thought today we could look at the ocean and just talk.
Dorothy: Oh, um, okay. There are so many things I've wanted to ask you.,
too, Freyr.
Me: Yes. It's a good chance to get to know each other better.
Dorothy: Oh, yes…
Dorothy: Umm, Freyr, is … is there any one… any one you're fond of?
Me: Now that's a direct question! Let's see…
My choices now:
Mana
Dorothy
Julia
If you choose Dorothy:
Dorothy: Oh! Well, um… does that mean… Freyr…
Um… oh… I'm not sure what to…
Me: Don't worry about it, Dorothy. Just pretend I didn't say anything.
Dorothy: Oh… I'm sorry. It's just…
Me: Heh.
Me: Well, I'll ask you a question next.
Dorothy: Okay…
Me: Here we go.
My choices now:
How are you? You seem more outgoing.
How long have you had Fern?
You don't have many friends, do you?
If you choose: How are you? You seem more outgoing.
Me: Now you can talk without using Fern, and I think you've really changed.
Dorothy: Oh… really? It makes me happy to hear you say that.
I was just too afraid of every one and didn't even try to get to know them.
But now, I've finally realized how very nice most people are.
It's all because of you, Freyr…
Thank you so much…
Me: No, you did it yourself, Dorothy. I just gave you a little help.
You changed yourself, Dorothy.
Dorothy: do you really think so?
Me: Yes.
Dorothy: I'm so happy…
Dorothy: Umm, Freyr, if… if you were to get married…
… What kind of person do you think you'd get married to?
Me: What kind of person…? Hmm, let's see…
My choices now:
Someone good at cooking.
Some one very kind.
Some one who's a good listener.
If you choose: Some one very kind:
Some one very kind, I guess.
Dorothy: Some one very kind? I'd like… some one who is kind too…
Some one nice like you, Freyr…
You're a nice person, Freyr…
Me: Do you think so?
Dorothy: I think so. Do you think I'm wrong?
Me: Well, now I wonder… Maybe my true character is actually…
Dorothy; Uh, wait… you're frightening me!
Me: so, Dorothy…
My choices now:
I'd really like to see your whole face.
I'd really like to see your figure…
If you choose: I'd really like to see your whole face.
Me: I've never seen your face, Dorothy. Could you just give me a peek?
Dorothy: What?! Well, I'm not sure…..
I'm kind of embarrassed…
Me: Don't be shy.
Dorothy: promise you won't laugh…?
Me: I promise.
Dorothy: Okay, then. Just a peek…
Me: Wow!
Dorothy: Well… What… what do you think?
Me: You're really pretty! Wow, Dorothy, you should let every one see your
face.
Dorothy: But, well… I'm just too embarrassed…
Me: I'm really amazed!
Dorothy: Oh, but… I'm so embarrassed…
This is our special secret, Freyr…
Me: Heh. Well, okay.
Dorothy: Umm, Freyr, you're really just as nice as I thought you'd be…
I think…
I like you even more, now, Freyr…
Me: I find you even more charming now that I understand you, too, Dorothy.
Dorothy: Oh… um… Well, I look forward to more times together like this…
Me: Me too. Today was really fun.
Dorothy: yes… It was really nice…
Freyr, can we have another date sometime?
Me: Certainly. I'd love to.
Dorothy: Oh, that makes me so happy…
Oh… um… This… this is just a little something I'd like you to have…
You got: CHARM.
Dorothy: I made it for you, to protect you from harm, Freyr.
Me: Thank you, Dorothy. You made this for me?
I'll cherish it always.
Dorothy: Today was… Thank you for today…
Well, then… See you later, Freyr.
She rushes off…
It's the same CHARM I got earlier!
If I chose:
Mana
Dorothy: Oh… you like…. Mana?
Mana… she's pretty, so…
Well, um…
Well, my house does belong to Douglas, so I happen to see her a lot. That's
all. I can't help noticing her.
Dorothy: Oh… is that it? I, I just thought… well, I thought you and Mana
were…
Me: Oh no. There's nothing between us.
Well, I'll ask you a question next.
How long have you had Fern?
You bring Fern everywhere. How long have you had that doll?
She looks like she's been around a long time.
Dorothy: Um, let's see… How long have I had Fern…
I've had her since I was little, so I don't know exactly, but we've been
together as long as I can remember.
Me; Oh, I see. She's important to you, isn't she?
Dorothy: yes. She's very special to me…
Some one good at cooking.
Some one good at cooking, I guess.
Dorothy: Good at … cooking? I do the cookikng at my house, but… I'm not sure
if it tastes good…
Me: I'd love to try your cooking sometime, Dorothy.
Dorothy: What?! Oh, I don't know, but… I'll cook up my best for you!
Me: Good, I 'm looking forward to it!
Dorothy: Oh dear. When you say that… it, it makes me… kind of nervous…
Dorothy's Special Proposal Item:
There's a new Request on the board after Dorothy's event.
A Request from Gordon
I've got something I want to give you. Come get it.
I've Got Something for You
Gordon: You've read the Bulletin Board, Freyr?
There's something I need to say to you. It's about Dorothy…
You probably already know, but…
My daughter, Dorothy. She's had a shadow, a darkness, over her heart. It's a
good heart, but she's always skept it hidden from others.
As her father, I've always tried to be her strength, her conrnestoner.
But I could never free her heart from that shadow.
But you, Freyr… Thakns to you, I think Dorothy has finally been able to bring
her heart into the light and let others see it.
I don't know what you did.
But I do know that ever since you started taling to her, my daughter has
become an almost completely different person.
You've been able to do what I, her own father, couldn't.
And I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
You were able to open her heart, so I…
I would be proud to call you my son. You may marry my daughter with my full
blessing.
Of course, it's up to you, Freyr. I won't make you marry my daughter if you
don't want to.
But if you choose to… I've bene working hard on a special pendant for my
daughter.
I've blessed it with holy rigtes, and I have fileld it with the power to
protect her from disasters.
Everything I've had you bring me has been for that pendant.
I was hoping that it would help her to feel safe enough that she'd open up to
people.
It was the only thing left that I could think of. But it looks like it wasn't
what she needed to open up after all…
I want you to have it, Freyr.
You have been a greater source of strength for Dorothy than I could ever be.
If you give this to her, I believe it will mean more to her than it would if I
gave it to her.
Please, take it.

BLESSING PENDANT: A handmade pendant for Dorothy entrusted to you by Gordon.
Protects bearer from harm.
You got: Blessing Pendant!
Gordon: You can do with it as you wish.
I have only one thing to ask of you. Don't do anything to hurt Dorothy.

CECILIA'S REQUESTS

1st Request:

Ceci: So you know I'd like you to go get a RUBY from Trieste Froest –Aegis
Falls for me. However, I don't want you to kill any monsters to get it, okay?
I can't kill any monsters?
That's right.
Okay. I'll see how it goes.
Best of luck to you.
I see you found the RUBY. May I have it?
Looks like you found the RUBY.
I did.
And you did it without hurting a single monster… I knew I was right about you,
Freyr.
What do you mean?
You seem like the type of person who is meant to tame the land and its
monsters. Those sort of people are called Earthmates. I think that you must
have some of the qualities of an Earthmate.
Really? I don't really know much about that sort of stuff, but…
Well, I'm sure you've got the talent for it! Here, take this PET GLOVE. It's
a present for me. You can use it to become even better friends with monsters.
You got the PET GLOVE.
What is this?
It's a glove that will let you tame monsters. If you equip it, you can pet a
monster to show your affection fir it. If you show it enough love, it'll
become your friend.
That's amazing!
Well, you'll probably come under some pretty heavy fire while you're petting
it, but…
Hahaha.
But if you show it love, everything will be fine in the end. Oh, but no
matter how much love you show it, it won't befriend you unless you have a barn.
A barn?
It's the place where you keep the monsters that you tamed. You need Mayor
Byron's permission in order to build one, though. Try talking to him when
he's in his office at his house.
Got it.
You'll also be needing wood if you plan on building a barn. Let me give you
ahead start on collecting it.
You got 100 pieces of wood.
Thank you.
Okay, good luck.
Now if you visit the Mayor , you have two options.
I want to talk to you.
I want to build a barn.
Byron: A barn? There's some space on the west of the farm that should suit
your needs. You can use that, if you like.
Thank you.
You'll need 50 pieces of wood and 5000G to build it.
Th-that's a little more expensive than I was expecting…!
We are talking about an entire building here, after all! You have my
permission to build it, anyway, so the rest is up to you. Once you have the
materials and the money, come back and talk to me again.

2nd Request:

Cecilia's Request:
Cecilia: We need an INDIGO GRASS for Herman's latest delicacy. You can find
them at Blessia Island- Centre, but I haven't go the time to get one myself.
For giving Ceci the INDIGO GRASS (I bought some at the Clinic), I got 200G and
a BRUSH!!!
Use this on any monsters you catch to help tame them. Don't be shy about
using it, okay?
Thanks.
Ceci: If I ever need anything else, I'll be sure to put it up on the bulletin
board.

3rd Request:

Ceci: Do you think you could come to Alvarna – Falling Star Path at 9 o'clock
tonight?
Me: 9 o'clock tonight?
Ceci: Yes, I have a bit of a … strange request. Will you be there?
Me; Sure.
Ceci: Great. So I'll see you at 9, then.
At 9.00 p.m., she was standing at the crossroads.
Ceci: Oh, there you are, Freyr. Thanks for coming.
Me: Is there something special about this place?
Ceci: According to Alicia's reading, we may be able to see a shooting star
here tonight.
Me: A shooting star?
Ceci: Yeah. Normally you can only see them during the shooting Star
Festival, but today's special.
Me: That's pretty neat.
Ceci: (I've always wanted to see a shooting star with you, Freyr.)
Me: You say something?
Ceci (with many tears): Oh, no. Just… talking to myself! It should turn up
any minute now.
I stand next to her. A star shoots across the heavens.
Ceci; There, did you see it?!
Me: Yeah… Wow.
Ceci: That was great.
Me: Yeah. It was really really something. Alicia's reading was spot on.
Me: Crazy, huh? I'm glad we came.
Ceci; Yeah. Thanks for coming out here with me tonight.
Me: My pleasure.
Ceci: I should be getting home now. Well, see you tomorrow.
Me: Yeah. Have a great night, Cecilia!

Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide Empty Re: Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide

Message par Admin Sam 6 Déc - 5:06

3rd Request:

Ceci's request is to ask me a question.
Ceci: Um… is there any one you… like?
Me: I can't say there's anyone I like at the moment, no.
Ceci: I see, well, sorry for calling you all the way here to ask you that.

4th Request:

A Very Important Request
A Request from Cecillia: This is the most important favour I'll ask of you.
Cecilia (blushing): If you really like me, Freyr, bring the ROUND STONE to
Messhina- Valley – Bridge to Shrine.
Cecilia: I've been waiting for you, Freyr. Did you bring the ROUND STONE
Yeah.
Whoops. I forgot it.
Ceci: May I have it? I'm glad you remembered it!
Ceci after marriage: 'Sweetheart'! Oh, listen to me. We certainly sound the
newlyweds, don't we?
Julia's Request
Julia: Ah, Freyr, you made it.
I went to the message board to accept Cecilia's Request.
A Request from Cecilia
This is the most important favour I'll ask of you.
A Very Important Request
If you really like me, Freyr, bring the ROUND STONE to Messhina Valley –
Bridge to Shrine.
You mean that thing you gave me before?
Yes. Bring that to Messhina Valley – Bridge to Shriine. I'll be waiting for
you there.
Me: Okay.
Ceci: I've been waiting for you, Freyr. Did you bring the ROUND STONE?
My choices:
Yeah.
Whoops, I forgot it.
Yeah.
Ceci: May I have it? I'm glad you remembered it!
If you say: Whoops, I've forgotten it.
Ceci: Do you think you could go back and get it? I'll be waiting here.

Ceci: I wanted to tell you something. Freyr, when I was small, I liked
collecting stones. One time I got lost iin a dungeon while looking for some.
(Heart music begins.)
Ceci: The person who saved me from that terrible place was a man called
Raguna.
Me: I remember you saying you and he were friends when you lived in Kardia.
Ceci: After seeing how handsome and how brave he was… my life changed forever.
Ceci (with music now); From that point on, I always imagined my future
husband proposing to me in a dungeon or other monster-infected area.
Me: That's … that's interesting. (That's one of the weirdest things I've
ever heard.)
Ceci: That's not… strange or anything, is it?
Me: (lying handsomely): No, not at all. Well, it's not exactly normal, but
it's not so weird.
Ceci: Do you like girls who are a little strange, Freyr?
My choices now:
Yeah.
No.
Yeah, I do.
Ceci: Really?! Oh, Freyr…
My choices now:
Will you marry me?
Hold on a second.
If you choose:
Me: Will you marry me, Cecilia?
Cecilia: Oh, you have no idea how happy I feel… How long I've been waiting to
hear those words!
Me: I promise I'll make you happy.
Cecilia: I believe you.
You now will experience the Wedding Event.
If you choose:
Hold on a second.
Ceci: I see… I'm sorry too. I really am sorry. I'd better head home.
In Ceci's event, when she asks if you'd like a girl who was strange, if you
say no,
The heart music will stop and:
Y-Yeah, you're right. Who in their right mind would ever like some one like
that, huh?
If you try to give it to her somewhere else after you give the 'negative'
response during this event: That's very important to me. I …I want you to
have it. You may need it someday.
If you do give a negative response to Ceci during this event, the Request
simply will reappear on the Board. You will remain at 10,10 with her.
Once you marry, all remaining romantic quests will disappear from the board.
If I speak to Jake after marrying Ceci: Do you like being married, human? I
bet your'e the sort of husband who casues all sorts of trouble for his wife.
Ceci after marriage: 'Sweetheart'! Oh, listen to me. We certainly sound the
newlyweds, don't we?

ROSALIND'S REQUESTS

2nd Request:

Rosalind asks for an Apple.
Rosalind. You got 4000G.
Rosalind: Please take this HARVEST BASKET as well.
You got: HARVEST BASKET!
This HARVEST BASKET is a tool that can be used to gather items from monsters
that you've befriended. To be more precise… You can gather HONEY from pet
Hornets and Queen Bees and eggs from Cluckadoodles. To use it, first press
the L and the B Button at the same time. This will display the Quick Equip
Tools menu. Highlight your new Harvest Basket and press the B Button. Doing
so will equip your HARVEST BASKET in your right hand. With the HARVEST BASKET
equipped, walk next to you rpet Hornet or your Queen Bee and press the B
Button. Then you'll gather honey from your monster. You can gatyher eggs
from your Cluckadoodle in the same way. Understood? You can use that HARVEST
BASKET to periodically gather eggs and honey from monsters that you've
befriended in the dungeons. You can sell those products, or, if you prefer,
you can keep them to use in your own cooking. I hope that you'll get a lot of
use out of that gift!

3rd Request:

Request:
Rosalind wants a letter delivered. She asks you to move closer.
Me: Y-Yup. (Her breath is really tickling my ear…)
Rosalind: head to the mayor's house and make sure that nobody sees you. I
want you to give Byron this secret message for me. No matter what happens,
remember to be discreet. I'm not sure, but Barrett might be there too. This
goes without saying, but make sure he doesn't notice you either. I've
prepared a reward of 6000G if you do this for me. On that note, here's the
SECRET LETTER.
Got 6000G and 100 wood.

4th Request:

She will ask you to catch a cold for her. You may have to stay up for two
nights to do it.
Rosalind: You haven't caught a cold yet. If it feels like no matter how hard
you try you just can't catch a cold, how about you try staying up for two
nights and see what happens?
This is one of the more challenging and time-consuming requests you ever will
perform.
Friday, 12 Summer: Having stayed awake for two nights dutifully for
Rosalind's experiment, I now have a cold. One starts the day at 10.00 a.m. as
well when one does not sleep in the night at all.
Rosalind: Wow, you look pretty sick, Freyr. How wonderful! Now we can start
the experiment!
First I'm going to take your temperature. I'm going to touch your forehead,
okay?
Me: Um… okay. (Whoa! Rosalind's hands feel so nice and cool.)
Rosalind: Hm, It looks like you've got a bit of a temperature. And you're
shivering a bit… Like a scared little animals… Plus your nose is all red. I
would say that you've successfully caught a cold! It's quite a good one, too…
I really have to give you credit for this, Freyr. You've gone above and
beyond the call of duty!
Now, in the name of science… bottoms up!
The cold is gone!
Me: Wow!!! I can't believe how quicxkly that worked. I feel totally fine!
Rosalind: (with music) I did it! You look like your're feeling 100% better,
Freyr. I'll bet this new medicine will be a hit for sure! Thank you so
much. I would have never been able to do this without your cooperation.
Really, the world of medical science is in your debt. Please, take this. You
deserve it.
You acquired 8000G.
Rosalind: Also, Freyr?
Me: What is it?
Rosalind: I was wondering if maybe you could come by to see me on a regular
basis? I can't really say it's ready until I study it for long-term side
effects…
Me: H-Huh?! S-Side effects???
Rosalind: Oh, don't be silly. I'm reasonably certain that there's nothing to
worry about. You'll probably… most likely… no, you'll definitely be okay.
Me (with tear)…………………..

4th Request

When she reaches 4, 4 Hearts with you, Rosalind's request will involve a date
for a picnic. Go to the North Square and speak to Rosalind there to begin
the 'Heart Event'. This Request is 'Private Message I', the first of
three 'Private Message' Requests that are true Heart Events. There are no
material Rewards.
Reward: None
Text of Event:
Private Message! A Request from Rosalind
Please come see me at your earliest convenience.
Rosalinds' request at 4 hearts.
Rosalind: (with music) I've been thinking that I'd like to share all of the
new recipes that I've been creating with some one.
Me: Okay. (It looks like I'm the only person she has to share them with.)
Rosalind: So… On that note…
(blushing) If it's okay with you… To repay all the favours that you've done
me… I would be honoured if you allowed me to cook for you. I'll prepare
every recipe I've invented!
Me: F-F-For me?
Rosalind: Of course. If this doesn't appel to you, you can say no…
………………………. But still… If you can, I'd really like for you to taste my food,
Freyr…
Oh, what am I saying? It's not like me to be so… so pushy.
Me: Rosalind! It's not very often that I have the chance to sample your
food. How could I pass up an opportunity like this? I'll absolutely let you
cook for me!
Rosalind: R-Really? Yaaaaay! Thaaaaaak you.
Rosalind (with music): How about we have the meal at Alvarna – North Square?
Everything tastes better when you eat it outside, doesn't it?
Me: Outside? That sounds great.
Rosalind: Okay. I'll start making preparations. Why don't you head to
Alvarna- North Square a little bit ahead of me, okay? My food-loving father
gave this food his seal of approval. So you better be thrilled!
Rosalind stands next to Yue at the top of Alvarna – North Square. This
definitely is a 'Heart Event' as the music changes as soon as I speak to her.
Rosalind: Freyr! Come over here. I made us a picnic. Please, eat up.
Me: This looks delicious! Let's get started!
Rosalind: Let's eat.
Me: *munch munch munch*
Rosalind: How does it taste?
Me: This taste of this is… exquisite. And it smells wonderful. It really
wraps around your tongue… but it's subtle, too.
Me: This is really an amazing dish!
Rosalind (with music): Sounds like you like it. That's good… All the testing
I did with my father was worth it.
Me: Yummy, yummy. *munch munch munch*
Rosalind (blushing): Ah, Freyr, you've got some rice on your cheek. Here,
I'll get it for you…
Me: ………………………!!!
Rosalind: Okay, I got it. Calm down, please. Savour the food.
Me: *munch munch* *gulp gulp* *munch munch*
Me: Whew, I'm full. That was quite a feast.
Rosalind: I'm glad you enjoyed it. I hope I'll get another opportunity to
cook for you some time!
Me: Heh, I can't wait! Thank you!
Rosalind: Ah, look at the time. I've got to get home. It was very nice
spending the time together today. Rosalind: (blushing now) Thank you for
helping me make such a nice memory.
Me: Thank you for the feast. Tomorrow I'll be back to working for you again.
Rosalind: Heeheehee!
She was at 4, 4

5th Request

Capture a Monster for Rosalind
Rosalind is in church after noon.
Rosalind: You look to be in bright spirits today, Freyr. You've come about
the bulletin board, right?
Me: Yup. I was thinking I'd like to help you out.
Rosalind (with music): Heeheehee! Everything's going exactly to plan.
Me: Huh?!
Rosalind: Well, who else would accept such dangerous work, Freyr?
Me: Uh… dangerous?
Rosalind: Hey, don't look so nervous. You'll be fine. I've never met any
one who can handle monsters as well as you can.
Rosalind: Anyhow, the monster I want you to catch for me is called the Wooly
and it lives in Trieste Forest – Spring Clearing. You can collect SMALL
FLEECE from it. And I need that SMALL FLEECE no matter what. So I want you
to go and catch one for me, okay?
Me: Understood. I'll get it done.
Rosalind: Thank you.
Rosalind (blushing): Once you've caught it, collect the SMALL FLEECE from it
and then bring it to me, please.
Me: Got it.
Rosalind: I've prepared a reward of 10000G for you. Okay, see you soon.
Oh, one more thing. The Wooly only comes out at night.
Me: Got it! In that case, I'll head out to catch it after sunset.
Much to my joy, I had kept a few in my cabinet, anticipating some request for
one!
No other size will do. Weird response from Roz:
I gave a LARGE FLEECE to Rosalind and she said: You're giving this to me,
Aaron? Umm… Thank you?
Give her a SMALL FLEECE.
Rosalind: Thank you. This is perfect! Now that I have it…
Me: Rosalind, what are you going to use that SMALL FLEECE for?
Rosalind: … Yes, I think I can tell you now. Um… This is embarrassing to
say, but… I… ah… I'm the shortest person in the family. I've been making high
heels to seem taller than I really am.
Me: You've been keeping it a secret?
Rosalind: Yes, I have. But these shoes, as you can see, are getting quite
worn out. Because this pair is almost ready to fall apart, I've been trying
to find a replacement. Unfortunately, this style of heels is no longer being
produced. It started to look like I would never be able to buy another pair
from a store. Finally, I went to Byron and asked him to use his connections
to find a collector willing to part with one of her pairs… But the one
collector who is willing to part with her pair is asking a ridiculously high
price.
Me: I see.
Rosalind: But… If I could just get my hands on the right matierals, I could
repair these shoes myself.
Me; You could?
Rosalind: That's when I thought of a new plan. If I put requests for the
materials on the town's bulletin board. I know that you could get those
materials for me, Freyr. I was sure that I could repair my shoes with your
help!

Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide Empty Re: Rune Factory 2 - Courtship and Marriage Guide

Rosalind's Special Proposal Item

After you experience Rosalind's Request at 9 Hearts in which she tells you to
speak to Max, her brother will begin to hint that he can help you in your
courtship.
Max now says:
Max: Have you ever thought about marriage, Freyr? … Ah, hold it! There's
something else I need to check with you first. Is there a particular girl you
would like to get closer to?
My choice:
There is.
No, not right now.
Max: I see! And would that be Rosalind?
My choices:
H-How did you know that?!
I think you got bad information!
Max: Heh heh heh, I knew it! It's easy to see, from the way that you treat
her.
I don't have any problem with you and Rosalind getting married. In fact, I'd
welcome just such a development! You'd better watch yourself, though. My
sister isn't one to let a man control her. Well, I'll be supporting you.
From the shadows, perhaps, but supporting you all the same. Heh heh heh.
Max: Do you have a friend, Freyr whom you really feel that you could turn to
in a pinch?
You need to wait until Rosalind attains the full 10 Hearts before Max actually
will give you information about the special item needed to propose Marriage to
her.
At 10 hearts, I entered Max' room after 9.00 p.m. and there was a new dialogue
that led to Rosalind's special proposal item.
Max: Hello, Freyr. I can tell Rosalind is thinking about you a lot these
days. You two seem to be spending quite a lot of time together.
Me: yeah. Rosalind is really special to me.
Max: Hmm. You certainly have been a good influence [for] her. I've never
seen her this cheerful and outgoing. Thanks, Freyr. I really appreciate it.
I hope you'll continue to look after Rosalind.
Me: I will.
Max: oh, another thing… It's probably none of my business, but… My sister
has always hoped for a true fairytale romance. I still remember her favourite
story growing up. At the end of it, a red-haired knight on a white horse
presents the princess with [a bouquet of roses] and sweeps her off her feet.
That story…
Me: Being swept off her feet by a man with a bouquet of roses…
Max: Well, I know that's something Rosalind has always hoped that the man who
would be her husband would do for her. IN other words, a 100-ROSE BOUQUET has
a special meaning for Rosalind. So… If you're really serious about Rosalind,
and are willing to do whatever it takes to make her happy… You need to bring
her a bouquet of 100 roses.
Me: Really? But where am I going to find that many roses?
Max: Hmm. Freyr, have you ever grown tomatoes on your farm?
Me: Uh… tomatoes?
Max: That's right, tomatoes. I love them. There's nothing better than a
ripe TOMATO, fresh from the vine. I want you to bring me nine of them.
Freyr: What! Nine TOMATOES?!
Max: That's right. Then we'll do a swap. See, here's the deal. The flower
that looks the most like the one from the illustration in the fairytale is a
variety called the 'Geschule'. So you'll want a bouquet of those. However, a
single 'Geschule' flower goes for 68000G at the market.
Me: What?! Flowers can be that expensive?
Max: They can indeed. However, I can get them without much trouble. But if
I just give it to you for free, it won't mean anything when you give it to
Rosalind. A gift that costs you no money, thought or effort has no value, no
matter how perfect it is otherwise. So you have to give me a fair price for
the bouquet. What you want most is my sister's hand in marriage, so the
bouquet is worth a lot to you. But what I want most in the world right now is
nine fresh, juicy TOMATOES. So that will be a fair price for the bouquet.
Me: I understand what you're saying, Max. Nine TOMATOES sounds like a very
fair price!
Max: Hmmm. Glad to hear it! When you want that 100-ROSE BOUQUET, you know
where to find me. Just bring me 9 TOMATOES in exchange.

YUE'S REQUESTS

1st Request

Yue's 1st Request is for HONEY to use to improve her complexion. You will
find the HONEY in the Trieste Forest at the north end of the Grassy Path
screen. Do not be confused into thinking that there are any Monsters who
produce HONEY or drop it as a War Trophy in the 1st Generation! This is one
of the unique Request Items that can be found at a specific location and must
be returned to the individual who requests it. If you attempt to keep the
HONEY instead of giving it to Yue, it will vanish from your Inventory.
Likewise, if you abandon any Request after you obtain the item, the item will
vanish and when you accept the Request again, you will be forced to find the
item again.
Reward: Daikon Seeds
Text of Event:
Yue: I heard that if you eat HONEY every day, it helps protect your skin.
I want you to bring me HONEY. You should be able to find it in Trieste Forest.
Okay, I'll go find it for you.
I got the honey but can't find her so abandoned the request. When you abandon
a Request, the item will disappear. When I accepted the Request again the
next day, I found the Honey in the same location as before and returned it to
her immediately.
Yue: Thank you, Freyr. A girl has to work hard to maintain her beauty! I
knew I could count on you, Freyr! Thank you so much! Here's your reward!
You got: DAIKON SEEDS!
Yue: Plant these seeds and grow them into big radishes! Big radishes are the
best!
N.B. Daikon Radishes are one of her Most Favourite Items.

2nd Request

Unlike the 1st Request, which was for an item that was unique, Yue's 2nd
Request is for a Panther Claw, a War Trophy dropped by a Shadow Panther. Any
Panther Claw will do. Take it to her to claim your Reward.
Reward: Baked Rice Ball.
YUE: I want a PANTHER CLAW. People in the next town over are paying a
ridiculous price for them! Well, I want to get in on that action!
Me: Yeah, you can't let a good opportunity pass you by.
YUE: Of course not! If you're not willing to take advantage of a good
business opportunity, you'll never make it as a merchant! Now, as to where
you can find that particular item…
I've heard that you can get them from the Shadow Panther on Blessia Island.
Shadow Panthers are nocturnal, so they only show up after dark. I'm sure that
won't be a problem for you, Frey. I'll be waiting for you!
When I gave Yue the Panther Claw:
Yue: Great work, Freyr. If you keep this up, I'll have to take you on a date!
You got: BAKED RICE BALL
Yue: I made this BAKED RICE BALL myself! I hope you like it.

3rd Request

Yue needs a piece of White Grass, an item found only in Winter in the Winter
Cave in the Padova Mountains. This is another generic item. You can take it
from storage, find it in the cave or purchase it at the Clinic. Give it to
Yue to claim your reward.
Reward: Fried Eggs (cooked dish)
Yue: Something's Wrong with my Kimono
Yue: There's something wrong with my favourite Kimono: Help!
Yue: I've heard that WHITE GRASS juice can be used to remove stains, but I
don't have any on hand right now… I can't focus on my business when I've got
such an awful stain on my kimono.
Gave her a piece of White Grass found in Padova Mountains.

4th Request:

Yue's Request for Phantom Sand Dunes
Yue: The Phantom Sand Dunes are very dangerous to cross. I've heard that
they're made out of countless tiny fragments of glass. That's what makes them
so binding.
Me; That sounds… strange. They really exist?
Yue; They do. I was surprised the first time I heard about them too. Each
piece of glass reflects with each other. All of those reflections makes it
impossible to see what's around you. Is the road over there? Is that someone
else? Is there anything there at all?
No one who's entered the sand dunes has ever been seen again. Once inside,
ther'es no way to tell where the path is or which way you've been walking.
Anyone who enters the Photom Sand Dunes will become hopelessly lost… Doomed to
wander the desert until…
Me: That's awful.
Yue: Yeah, it's scary, isn't it? But… there's a stone called the SHADE
STONE. Any one who uses that stone can block the reflections in the sand and
find a route across.
I want you to bring me a SHADE STONE. As for where you can get it… Well, I
think you should be able to find one in Messhina Valley. Try looking around
where you usually mine.
You got HACHIMAKI
You also got 100 pieces of wood.
HACHIMAKI: The far east equivalent of a bandana. Wrap it around your head
and be filled with fighting spirit.

5th Request

In the course of this Request, which constitutes a true Courtship Event, Yue
will ask for 1000G. Give it to her to claim an intangible reward in the form
of a kiss on the cheek!
Reward: Kiss
Text of Event:
Yue tells me about a nobleman in Greenlake named Cesar who is 'really…
attached to me.' And by attached, I mean, uhh… He flirts with me
shamelessly. I mean, he flirts with a lot of girls, but he seems to pay
special attention to me. Of course, I'm not interested at all. He's just a
spoiled, wealthy playboy. He wouldn't know an honest day's work if it bit him
on the nose! But he just can't seem to take a hint. I thought that if I told
him I had a boyfriend, he'd leave me alone. But when I told him, he looked me
right in the eyes and said, 'Then prove it, my darling flower.' There's such
a thing as being too persistant, you know. But if I can give him some kind of
proof, maybe he'll finally leave me alone. It might be my only chance to get
him to understand. Of course, I don't really have a boyfriend, but all I need
to do is make it look like I do. I need a big fancy engagement ring to show
that I'm engaged to some one wealthy and powerful. That might be enough to
scare Cesar off. But that'll be really expensive. That's the point, though.
If I buy a cheap ring, Cesar will know that I bought it just to throw him
off. That's where I need your help. Freya, I need you to help me raise the
money I need to buy an engagement ring. I need 1000G… Do you think you can
help me? Please?
My choices:
Give her 1000G
Im sorry, but I can't.
Thank you! You're the best, Freyr!
As for your reward… You'll have to make do with this!
*kiss*
Me: !!!
Yue: Thank you!
Me; Um… Wow!
Yue: it's all I can afford right now, but it does come straight from my heart!
You got: A kiss on the cheek!

6th Request:

Give Yue the Char she requests to complete this Request.
Reward: Apple Pie
Text of Event:
Yue asked for a CHAR, found in the freshwater places of Blessia Island. I
went to the little island there (stepping stones) and caught one.
She gave me apple pie she had made herself as a reward.

2nd Romantic Event: Dance Festival

Yue: Good morning. It's a nice day, isn't it? Tomorrow's the Dance
Festival. I don't dance much, but I still have a good time.
Me: I don't think I'm very good at dancing either, but I'm looking forward to
it.
Yue: I wonder what you dance like…

7th Request

Yue will request three different colours of Wild Grass in order to make a
special kimono. You can take them from storage, collect them from the wilds
or buy them at the Clinic. Give one grass of each of the stipulated colours
to obtain your Reward.
Reward: 500G
Yue wants to make an original kimono as her 'signature item'. She is asking
for grasses for dyes.

I need RED GRASS, BLUE GRASS and YELLOW GRASS. Can you start out with those?
I'm sure you can find them on Blessia Island.
Me: Alright. Just leave it to me.
She gave me 500G. She is at 6, 6.

8th Request

To complete Yue's next Request, you merely need to speak to her. She will
reward you with another cooked dish.
Reward: Miso Eggplant

9th Request

Yue's 9th Request involves a valuable accessory that she intended to give to
you, but which she lost on Blessia Island. Find the Critical Ring on the
beach there on the same screen as the orange trees and return it to her. She
then will give it back to you as a gift.
Reward: Critical Ring
Text of Event:
Help Me Find Something
A Message from Yue
Yue's at Blessia Island at 10.00 a.m.
Yue's Request.
Yue: I just wanted you to know how thankful I am for how nice you've been to
me, Freyr.
Me: Oh, it's nothing.
Yue: I mean it. And I thought I'd show you how grateful I am by giving you a
really big present!
Me: For me? You didn't need to… Thank you, Yue.
Yue: Well, uhh… that's the thing. There's a little problem with your present.
Me (with tear): There is? What's wrong?
Yue: I lost it somewhere on Blessia Island. And after all the trouble I went
to just to get it for you…
Me: Ha ha ha…
Yue: Something came up. I didn't want to go to the island at all, but I
didn't have a choice… And on the way home, I must have dropped it. I can't
believe I did that.
I want to go back and find it but there are just too many monsters on Blessia
Island for me to go searching around in it. There's no way I could find it
myself. I know this is a strange requests, but could you check Blessia Island
for me to find your present? You're the only one I can count on to find it,
Freyr.
Me: Ha ha ha… Well, I wouldn't want your present to go to waste. I'll find
it for you!
Yue: Thanks, Freyr. I knew I could count on you.
Yue's gift was at the eastern edge of the shore in the 2nd to the last screen,
the beach on the same screen as the orange tree.
It is a CRITICAL RING
Critical Ring: Level 1. Defence: 0
A ring that raises critical attacks. Somehow makes the best places to strike
more obvious.
Critical Ring: 2130G
You have to give it to her though.
Me: Yue, I found it. This is what you lost, right?
Yue: Yes! This is it! Well done, Freyr! I knew I could trust you to find
this! You really are trustworthy, aren't you? Phew… I'm glad I got it back…
You've done so much for me, Freyr, haven't you?
Thank you! Here's something to show you my gratitude!
You got: CRITICAL RING!
Me: Thank you, Yue. This is great.
Yue: Just a token of my affection! Keep it safe!
Me: I will.
After:
Yue; I owe you another one. I'm embarrassed even to talk about it. (with
music)

10th Request

Yue's final request in the 1st Generation is the one that will give you the
Special Proposal Item you need if you wish to marry her. This is Yue's
Request for a proper Date, a common request by an Eligible Girl when she has
fallen in love with you and has reached 8 or 9 Hearts. At the end of the
Event, you will receive your Reward in the form of a special Ticket.
Reward: Yue Swap Ticket
Text of Event:
She is at 9 Hearts when this Request appears.
Me: Did you need something, Yue?
Yue: Ah, oh, hello, Freyr.
Me: What is it?
Yue: Umm… No, it's nothing. Never mind!
Yue: (…) Actually, there's something I wanted to talk to you about, Freyr.
What is it?
Yue: Well, um… I… I want you to take me on a…
Yue: d-d-d
d-d-d-d-d-d
d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-
date!
There, I said it. Look at me. I'm so embarrassed. My heart's pounding, and
my face feels like it's burning up. I like you, Freyr. I have from the
moment I met you. I thought I'd try to let you know through my notes on the
town's message board. But I haven't been able to tell if you've gotten the
message or not. So… so… this time… I want you to go on a date with me!
Me: Sure! Let's go on a date.
Yue: Really? You will? Will you come see me tomorrow?
Me: I wil. I'm looking forward to it.
Yue: Me too! You'd better show up, Freyr!
Yue's at Blessia Island at 7.15 a.m. on the next morning.
Yue: Freyr, you kept your promise. I'm glad you really came! Today, it's
going to be just the two of us! Since this is a special date, I thought we
might go to another town so we could have a change of scenery. But then I
realized that just getting there would take half the day, so we'd have to turn
around and head back as soon as we got there.
So why don't we just stay right here and talk?
Me: That's fine with me.
Yue: Good. Do you want to tell me all about your secrets, Freyr?
Me (with sweat profuse): Secrets? I don't really have any secrets… I still
don't remember much of my past.
Yue: Oh, that's right. I'm sorry. Well, you at least know what things you
like, don't you?
Me: Yeah, I can remember that much.
Yue: Alright, let me ask you some questions, then! What kind of food do you
like, Freyr?
Me: Hmmm… I'd have to say…
My choices now:
Lighter foods.
Richer foods.
Strange foods.

If you choose: Lighter foods:
This time, I chose 'Lighter Foods'.
Yue: You like lighter foods? I 'm the same way.
Me: Yeah, I prefer food that's a little easier on my body.
Yue: It's probably because you grow so many vegetables yourself.
If you choose: Richer foods:
Really, you like rich foods? I can't eat much of that myself.
Me: I need heavier foods to give me the energy to work through the whole day.
Yue: Really? I just get heartburn…
Me: Well, there's that too.
If you choose: Strange foods:
Yue: What, really? You're strange, Freyr.
Me: No, you know, it's like when you first take a bite, maybe it tastes
pretty bad, but soon you just find yourself wanting more?
Yue (with tear): No, I don't know what that's like.
Me: Oh…
Yue: Alright, next question. What kind of music do you like?
Me: Hmmm…
Your choices here:
Slow music.
Fast music.
Chanting monks.
If you choose Slow music:
Yue: You like slow songs? I think it shows in your personality.
Me: It does? I listen to slower music to help calm myself down sometimes.
It helps put me in a better mood.
Yue: Yes, I guess I can see that. I like faster songs myself, but relaxing
music can be good too.
If you choose: Fast music.
Yue: Me too! I like songs with a lot of energy. They really make me feel
like dancing! When I'm listening to a fast song, I feel like, 'Yeah! Let's
go!' It's like I could take on the whole world.
Me: Yeah, I get the same feeling. I feel like I'm ready for whatever the day
might throw at me.
Yue: Yeah, you said it!
If you choose: Chanting monks:
Yue: Uh… chanting monks? That' snot really what I meant when I said 'music'…
Me (steaming): You can't be serious! Of course it's music – and fine music
at that. When I listen to it, I feel like I'm getting closer to discovering a
great truth.
Yue: You're really serious?
Me (steaming): Of course I am!
Yue (sweating profusely): Ah, well, alright then…
Next question!
What kind of clothes do you like?
Me: I don't know a lot about fashion, but…
Comfortable clothing
Stylish clothing
Underwear
Stylish clothing
If you choose: Comfortable clothes:
Me: I don't know a lot about style, so I'd just have to say I like normal,
everyday clothing that's comfortable and easy to wear.
Yue: Really? Well, I guess you spend all day working out in your field, so
that makes sense. I like kimonos, even if they aren't always totally
practical.
Me: It always feels good when you're wearing something that you like to wear.
Yue: Yeah, it does.
If you choose Stylish clothing:
Me: I'd have to say stylish clothing is the best. If I feel good about the
way I look, it's easier for me to really put my heart into my work.
Yue: I completely agree with you. When I'm wearing something I like to wear,
I feel like I'm a completely different person. It's a little hard to move
around in this kimono, but I couldn't do my job without it.
I didn't know we had so much in common, Freyr.
If you choose: Underwear:
Yue: What, you like to walk around like that? I don't believe you…
Me: You don't believe me? Don't you think it's comfortable?
Yue: I didn't say anything about that! Come on, everyone would star at you.
Me: Yeah, but it's comfortable…
Yue: That's not my point…
Yue: Well, next question! You read sometimes, don't you? What kind of books
do you like?
Me: Books, huh…?
Your choices:
Dramatic books
Adventure books
Children's Books
If you choose: Dramatic books:
Me: I like books that make me cry. After I finish reading them, I feel like
my emotions are completely refreshed.
Yue: I feel the same way. I usually end up bawling though. Next time, I'll
bring you one of my favourites. It'll leave you curled up on the floor.
Me; Oh, thanks! That sounds like my kind of book.
If you choose: Adventure books:
Me: I like to read tales of adventures! I'm always turning the pages just to
find out what happens next.
Yue: Sounds kind of childish to me. That's really what you like to read?
Me (sweating profusely now): Hey, if you'd give them a chance, I bet you'd
like them too. It's always exciting to see how the hero manages to escape
trouble.
Yue: Well, that does sound interesting. I'll give it a try.
If you choose: Children's books:
Yue: Children's Books? Aren't you a little old for that?
Me: It's fun to look at the pictures. There's always so mucvh to see…
Flowers… animals… bugs… I could read those books all day long.
Yue; I don't see the appeal…
Me: Want me to lend you one?
Yue: (…) I think I'll pass.
Yue: Now for my last question! Tell me something you don't like.
Me: Hmm… Let me think…
My choices:

Hurting others.
Selfish people.
Vegetables.
If you choose: Hurting others:
Me: If I end up hurting some one, it feels even worse than getting hurt
myself. There's a part of me that doesn't even want to fight with monsters.
I always feel bad when I defeat them.
If you choose: Selfish people:
Me: I don't like selfish people. There's no excusing some one who never
thinks about how other people feel.
Yue: Yeah, I feel the same way. I don't think there are any selfish people
that are really wroth anything.
If you choose: Vegetables.
Yue: But don't you grow vegetables yourself? How do you manage to work with
vegetables all day? I guess I'm … impressed.
Me: To tell you the truth… I hate it.
Yue: I think that's the most shocking thing you've told me yet!
Me (sweating profusely): Ha ha ha…
First Result:
Yue: Freyr… You're a nice guy. I… I'm touched. How long have we been
talking? I feel like I've learned a lot about you. Don't you think we're
fairly alike? I feel like we are. I had a lot of fun.
Me: I had fun too, Yue. I'm glad we had the chance to talk.
Yue: Me too! We should go on another date sometime!
Second Result:
You';re a nice guy, Freyr. How long have we been talking? I feel like I've
learned a lot about you.
You're quite a bit different than I thought you were, Freyr.
I think I like it. Ha ha ha!
Me: I had a good time talking with you, Yue.
Yue: Really? Me too.
Me: I want to know more about you.
Yue: (blushing): Well, we'll just have to go on another date, then!
Third Result:
Yue: (…)
How long have we been talking? I feel like I've learned a lot about you.
Yue (with tear): I don't know what to say… There's a lot I just don't
understand about you…
But I guess that's just the way you are, Freyr. I think I have even more
questions now than I did before. Ha ha ha.
Then:
Yue; I had a lot of fun today.
Me too. I'm glad we had a chance to talk.
Yue: We should go on another date sometime!
Then, for all three results:
Yue: Oh, I almost forgot! I have a present for you. This is a coupon for my
shop. I'm giving it to you, Freyr. You can exchange it for anything that I
sell. I've never given one to anybody else. Think of it as a token of my
love for you.
You got: YUE SWAP TICKET!
Me: I don't know what to say, Yue. You've given me so much..
Yue: Please, take it. I'm just happy to be with you. I always want to see
you. I'll be waiting for you to come back! Thanks for today.
Yue Swap Ticket: CURIO: A ticket that can be swapped for a prize at Yue's
store. Apparently it is very unique.
If I were to give it to her at 9 Hearts:
Yue: You're here to use the YUE SWAP TICKET, are you? Go on then, Freyr.
What do you want?
Me: Hmm…
My choices now:
Actually, I changed my mind.
I want to exchange it for you, Yue.
Yue: Um, Freyr, does that mean you're … pro-pro-pro…
Me: Proposing. Yes, Yue, I am.
Yue: I'm … not quite ready for marriage yet, I think… Can you give me some
more time?
The YUE SWAP TICKET was returned to you.
Give it to Yue when she attains 10 Hearts in order to propose marriage to her
successfully.
After Marriage to another Girl, if you have the Special Proposal Items in your
possession and then give them to the designated Girls, you will experience the
following response with each:
If I give the Yue Swap Ticket to Yue: This is past its use-by-date. I wish
you'd given it to me a bit sooner!
If I give Alicia the Crystal Ball:
Me: Alicia, will you marry me?
Alicia: I'm flattered at the proposal. Even if my fortune reading is wrong,
you'd still want to marry me, Freyr?
If I give Mana the Engagement Ring:
Mana: If you have this, then that means… you defeated my father? But you're
already married, Freyr. Too bad.
For Julia, a gift of the Memento Ring simply elicits her regular response to
any item to which she is fairly indifferent: Is that for me? Thanks!
If you give Rosalind the bouquet of 100 Roses:
Rosalind (blushing): A- A bouquet of Geshule roses! What a fiery crimson
colour! They're beautiful! This … This is like a dream come true.
Me: Rosalind?
Rosalind: !!!
Me: Will you marry me?
Rosalind: Thank you for your kind words, but aren't you already married?
Polygamy is illegal, you know!
If you give Dorothy the Blessing Pendant:
Dorothy: A present for me…? Th-Thank you…
